Woodward 5460-836 is a panel-mounted microprocessor speed controller belonging to the classic 2301A control series, dedicated to speed closed-loop regulation of steam turbines, gas turbines and generator prime movers in industrial power systems. Description
Developed according to Woodward standardized industrial control quality specifications, the 5460-836 adopts a compact sealed metal panel housing with excellent structural rigidity and anti-vibration capability, which can resist continuous mechanical vibration transmitted by turbine rotors, fans and water pumps in field working environments. The internal circuit substrate is covered with high-performance anti-corrosion conformal coating, while internal pins and external wiring terminals are treated with gold plating to resist oxidation. This structural design effectively avoids speed signal distortion and control output deviation caused by cabinet dust accumulation, humid gas erosion and long-term temperature alternating aging during long-term uninterrupted operation. Multi-layer internal electromagnetic shielding layout effectively filters electromagnetic noise radiated from high-voltage power distribution cabinets and frequency conversion equipment, preventing actuator jitter and speed fluctuation under complex industrial electromagnetic environments.The controller uses standard 24VDC power supply, with stable operating temperature ranging from 0°C to 60°C and tolerable non-condensing humidity up to 95%, compatible with installation layout of central control rooms and on-site local turbine cabinets. Integrated comprehensive hardware protection circuits include overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse connection and speed signal loss alarm functions.
