Woodward 5439-555 24VDC Rack Power Supply Module
Woodward 5439-555 is a dedicated rack-mounted regulated power supply under the 5439 product series, customized to match Woodward MicroNet distributed control systems and 505/505E turbine governor hardware frameworks. As the core power distribution source inside the control cabinet, the module converts input alternating current into stable 24 VDC rated output with 10 A rated current capacity, providing continuous, clean working power for main governor controllers, signal acquisition cards, terminal boards, communication modules and on-site auxiliary detection components. Equipped with multi-level internal filtering and surge suppression circuits, it eliminates grid voltage fluctuation, peak surge and harmonic interference, maintaining steady voltage output under dynamic load changes. This power unit lays a stable power foundation for normal speed regulation logic, signal collection and data communication of steam turbines, gas turbines and supporting generator sets, being an indispensable basic power guarantee for the whole governing control system to operate safely and continuously.
Description
Manufactured in accordance with Woodward strict energy industry power component standards, the 5439-555 adopts a compact sealed metal casing with internal power circuit boards coated with insulating conformal coating. Internal copper conductors and wiring terminals adopt anti-oxidation plating treatment, matched with multi-stage EMC filtering networks, featuring prominent dust-proof, moisture-proof, shock-resistant and wide temperature working characteristics. The operating temperature range covers -40 ℃ to +70 ℃, and the storage temperature ranges from -40 ℃ to +85 ℃, adapting to long-term 24-hour uninterrupted operation in thermal power central control rooms, petrochemical compressor stations and distributed power station electrical cabinets. It can resist heat accumulation inside sealed cabinets, humid air condensation and periodic mechanical vibration transmitted by rotating equipment, effectively avoiding power output jitter and voltage deviation caused by harsh environmental conditions. Comprehensive built-in protection mechanisms include overvoltage protection, overcurrent cutoff, short-circuit self-locking protection and reverse access protection, which can rapidly cut off power output under abnormal electrical faults to avoid burnout of rear-end expensive control boards and core governor equipment.
The module adopts unified standard rack installation dimensions of the 5439 series, which can be directly embedded into the standard cabinet guide rail of Woodward control racks for fixed installation and layout arrangement. The panel is reserved with clear power input/output wiring terminals and working status indicator lamps; operators can judge the running state of the power supply through indicator lamp changes at a glance, which is convenient for daily inspection and fault quick positioning. Each wiring terminal adopts spring locking crimping structure, which can keep reliable wiring connection under long-term unit vibration and effectively reduce equipment hidden dangers caused by loose wiring and poor contact. Maintenance personnel can complete disassembly, replacement and line overhaul with common hand tools during system maintenance and equipment overhaul, greatly shortening the outage maintenance time of the unit and reducing corresponding economic losses.
Every finished 5439-555 power supply passes complete factory delivery inspection procedures, including output voltage precision testing, load stability aging test, surge impact resistance test and continuous long-time power supply reliability monitoring. Multi-dimensional performance screening keeps the failure rate at an extremely low level throughout the whole service life cycle. This power supply module is widely applicable to power configuration of newly built turbine control cabinets, renewal and upgrading of aging original power supplies in old control systems, emergency replacement of failed power components on site and daily spare parts reserve management work. The daily maintenance cost is low; staff only need to regularly clean the dust on the shell surface and check the fastening degree of wiring terminals without regular professional calibration and complex performance debugging work. The product has obtained CE, UL and other international safety certifications, conforming to global industrial electrical safety access standards.
With high power conversion efficiency, low output noise and perfect multi-protection design, Woodward 5439-555 provides high-quality and stable DC power support for the whole set of turbine governing control hardware. It has become a standard general power matching component widely used by global thermal power, chemical industry and distributed energy enterprises, effectively improving the overall operational stability and fault tolerance of turbine control systems.
