The 5A22982G01 is an original rack-mounted dedicated RTD temperature acquisition module for Emerson Ovation DCS. G01 stands for fixed hardware revision and factory full-range temperature calibration version. It directly accesses PT100, PT1000 and other thermal resistance sensors installed on-site, completes constant current excitation, signal amplification, line resistance compensation and A/D conversion, and uploads accurate temperature values to the DPU controller for monitoring, over-temperature alarm and closed-loop temperature regulation control. Description

1. Overview

This module adopts standard plug-in mechanical structure fully compatible with universal Ovation control rack backplanes. It provides stable constant current excitation for 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD thermal resistance sensors, automatically compensates the voltage drop error caused by field long-distance cable line resistance, converts resistance variation corresponding to temperature changes into digital temperature values, and transmits valid measurement data to the local DPU via internal backplane bus. Each module undergoes strict factory temperature point calibration and long-term burn-in aging testing to guarantee measurement stability and low temperature drift.

4. Front Panel LED Indicator Definition
