1. General Overview
This module adopts a universal plug-in structure matching standard Ovation control rack backplanes. It receives digital control instructions from the local DPU via the internal backplane bus, completes digital-to-analog conversion, low-pass filtering and channel isolation, and transmits standard analog signals to execute closed-loop regulation of temperature, pressure, flow and liquid level. Every unit passes strict factory burn-in aging testing and full-range point-by-point calibration to ensure excellent linearity and measurement stability. Redundant installation eliminates single-point loop failure risks and ensures uninterrupted automated production.
2. Core Functional Features
2.1 High-Precision D/A Conversion
Equipped with high-resolution D/A chips, featuring outstanding output linearity and low temperature drift, meeting the high-precision adjustment requirements of critical process control loops in power and chemical plants. Each channel supports independent signal range parameter configuration.
2.2 Channel-by-Channel Galvanic Isolation
Each analog output channel is electrically isolated from the internal backplane circuit, effectively eliminating ground potential difference and ground loop interference caused by long field cables, and preventing reverse voltage backfeed from damaging the DPU and rack backplane hardware.
2.3 Standard Industrial Current Output
Primary output signal: 4–20 mA DC current signal. Current signals experience almost no attenuation during long-distance transmission, compatible with nearly all mainstream field actuators and positioners, suitable for widely distributed field equipment layout.
2.4 Multi-Layer Onboard Protection
Built-in channel short-circuit locking, overcurrent limiting, reverse polarity protection and transient surge absorption components. A short-circuit fault on a single channel will be automatically cut off without affecting other channels or the entire module.
2.5 Hot-Swap & Bumpless Redundant Switchover
Online hot swapping is supported while the DCS system operates continuously; maintenance replacement will not interrupt the existing closed-loop regulation loop. Dual-module hot standby configuration automatically performs bumpless switchover once the active module fails, with no disturbance to field regulating valves.
2.6 Comprehensive Onboard Self-Diagnosis
Real-time monitoring of output open load, short circuit, overload, internal power supply abnormality and backplane communication timeout. Fault codes and alarm information are remotely uploaded to the Ovation operator workstation; front panel LEDs provide local intuitive status prompts for rapid troubleshooting.
2.7 Native System Compatibility
Fully compatible with full-series Ovation DPUs and standard I/O racks. No additional adapter boards or backplane modifications are required during installation, applicable to new project construction and spare part replacement for unit renovation.
