1. Overview
This module adopts a standard plug-in mechanical structure fully compatible with universal Ovation control rack backplanes. It receives passive contact signals or active DC level signals from on-site circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, valve position feedback switches, motor auxiliary contacts and other field devices. After optoelectronic isolation and hardware anti-jitter filtering, the on/off status data is encoded and uploaded to the rack DPU via the internal backplane bus to support equipment status monitoring, sequential startup/shutdown and safety interlock protection. Every module undergoes strict factory burn-in aging tests and signal accuracy verification to guarantee reliable identification of switch states.

2.1 Independent Channel Optoelectronic Isolation
Each digital input channel is fitted with a dedicated optocoupler isolation circuit, which completely isolates high-voltage disturbances and ground potential differences transmitted through long field cables, preventing external abnormal voltage from damaging the rack backplane and master controller hardware.
2.2 Hardware Debounce & Anti-Jitter Treatment
Onboard hardware filtering and configurable software debounce time eliminate transient contact bounce and electromagnetic interference pulses, avoiding false actions of interlock logic triggered by signal jitter.
2.3 Multi-Layer Protective Circuit Design
Built-in input overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection and surge absorption components adapt to complex field wiring environments and resist instantaneous voltage surges introduced by long-distance signal cables.
2.4 Hot-Swap Online Maintenance
The module supports live hot swapping while the entire DCS system remains online; maintenance replacement will not interrupt signal acquisition of other channels or affect the execution of cabinet-level safety interlock logic.
2.5 Full Onboard Real-Time Self-Diagnosis
It continuously monitors channel open circuit, input overvoltage and internal power supply anomalies. Fault codes and alarm messages can be remotely uploaded to the Ovation operator workstation, while front panel LED indicators directly display channel switch status and module fault alerts for fast on-site troubleshooting.
2.6 Excellent Native Compatibility
Natively compatible with the full series of Ovation DPUs and standard I/O racks. No additional adapter boards or backplane modifications are required during installation, suitable for new project construction and spare part replacement for legacy unit renovation.
