1. Overview

This module serves as the core computing and communication unit of Ovation control racks, responsible for processing closed-loop PID regulation, sequence control logic, SOE event sequence recording and safety protection interlock computation. It seamlessly matches all standard Ovation I/O modules, realizes unified data collection and control output instruction distribution, and establishes stable data links with upper-level operator stations, engineer stations, SIS and MIS systems.

2. Key Functional Characteristics

2.1 Redundancy Design
Dual redundant hot standby mode is supported. The master and slave controllers synchronize operation variables, intermediate calculation results and output states in real time. Millisecond-level automatic bumpless switchover is triggered upon master controller failure, with no disturbance to field actuators and production loops.
2.2 Hot-Swap Maintenance
The module adopts rack plug-in installation structure and supports hot swapping. Replacement maintenance will not suspend the whole control rack operation, meeting non-stop overhaul requirements for long-cycle running industrial facilities.

  3. COMM LED: Flashing represents normal data exchange with backplane I/O modules and upper network.

  4. FAULT LED: Red light turns on for hardware fault, communication interruption or program exception, with corresponding fault code for precise positioning.
