The 5217D27H01 belongs to the Ovation DCS analog input (AI) series, the suffix H01 represents fixed hardware revision and factory customized fixed wiring configuration variant. It is responsible for collecting standard 4–20mA DC current signals from field two-wire transmitters, performing high-precision A/D conversion, and uploading digital measurement values to the DPU controller for process parameter monitoring, closed-loop regulation and safety interlock logic judgment.
It adopts rack plug-in modular design and supports
hot swapping without interrupting the running state of other modules in the same control rack. Each channel is equipped with independent galvanic isolation, surge absorption and overvoltage protection circuits (isolation withstand voltage up to 1000V AC/DC), which effectively eliminates ground loop interference caused by long-distance field cables and prevents abnormal field voltage breakdown of the rack backplane bus circuit.
Built-in full-channel online diagnosis can detect transmitter loop open circuit, short circuit, transmitter power loss and module internal hardware faults in real time, and synchronize fault codes to the operator station for remote alarm and maintenance scheduling.
All channel range scaling, digital filtering time constant, engineering unit conversion and fault safety response strategies can be configured uniformly through Ovation engineering software. With low temperature drift, high linearity and strong EMC anti-interference capability, it is widely used in thermal power, petrochemical, metallurgy and other large continuous process control systems.
