4256A67G01 is the first-generation universal analog input base module of Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully plug-and-play compatible with the Ovation remote I/O rack system, matched with 4256A25 series MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards. No program modification or parameter reset is required during replacement.

Description

This universal analog input board collects standard industrial analog signals transmitted by on-site transmitters and converts them into digital signals for transmission to the DCS main controller. It supports mainstream input types: 4–20mA DC current, 0–5V / 0–10V voltage signals. Each channel adopts independent A/D conversion and isolated sampling design to eliminate cross-channel signal crosstalk. The module integrates loop power supply for two-wire transmitters, and supports real-time diagnosis of open circuit, short circuit and over-range faults of field signal loops, feeding fault status back to the control system.
As the original basic version of the analog input series, G01 is equipped with standard linear A/D sampling circuit and single-stage isolation design, which can meet the conventional pressure, flow, liquid level and other process parameter collection requirements of thermal power, petrochemical, metallurgy and other industries. Low-temperature drift sampling chips are used to ensure stable acquisition accuracy under normal cabinet working temperature.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with basic electromagnetic shielding layout. Each input channel realizes 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field signal terminals and internal logic circuits, effectively isolating surge and common-mode interference from on-site transmitter loops. All finished modules pass complete factory reliability tests: 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel full-range linearity calibration, long-term full-load MRC Link bus communication burn-in test, and comprehensive signal loop open/short-circuit fault simulation test.
It supports single-slot hot-swappable online replacement without powering off the entire remote I/O station, and each channel integrates multi-layer hardware protection functions: surge suppression, overvoltage protection, reverse polarity prevention, overcurrent automatic locking protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators separately display power supply status, MRC bus communication link status and single-channel signal loop fault alarm information, facilitating rapid on-site inspection and maintenance.
