4256A65G05 is the fifth-generation flagship upgraded thermocouple signal acquisition card of Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully plug-and-play backward compatible with G01/G02/G03/G04 historical versions. It matches 4256A25 series MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack assembly, no system configuration, logic program or parameter adjustment needed during replacement.

Description

This module is specially developed for capturing weak millivolt thermoelectric potential signals of industrial thermocouples, compatible with K, S, B, E, J, T, R and all mainstream standard thermocouple types. It adopts military-grade ultra-low-noise instrumentation amplifier, multi-point distributed intelligent cold junction compensation, three-stage cascaded reinforced galvanic isolation and self-learning full-range temperature conversion algorithm, converting tiny thermocouple voltage signals into ultra-stable, high-repeatability digital temperature data and transmitting to the DCS main controller.
Compared with G01~G04 previous revisions, G05 equips ultra-wide temperature low-drift amplifier chips to minimize zero drift and gain drift under extreme temperature fluctuations; optimizes multi-point cabinet cold junction self-calibration algorithm to eliminate measurement deviation caused by uneven cabinet internal temperature; adds multi-level composite EMI/EMC suppression circuit, drastically enhances anti-interference performance for ultra-long-distance thermocouple wiring in heavy industrial environments with strong electromagnetic radiation such as inverters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating equipment. Each signal channel adopts fully independent isolation loop to completely eliminate cross-channel signal crosstalk and mutual interference.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with 360° fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding structure. Every signal channel realizes 1000V AC/DC reinforced galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits, effectively blocking surge, common-mode noise and high-frequency electromagnetic interference in thermal power, petrochemical, metallurgy and other heavy industrial sites.
All finished boards pass full-lifecycle strict factory reliability verification, including 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel full-range thermocouple precision calibration, long-duration full-load MRC Link bus continuous burn-in test, and comprehensive sensor open-circuit, short-circuit and wiring fault simulation test.
It supports single-slot hot-swappable online replacement without powering down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-layer comprehensive hardware protection functions: surge suppression, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, reverse polarity prevention and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators separately display power supply status, bus communication link status and single-channel thermocouple fault alarm information, realizing fast on-site fault location and troubleshooting, greatly improving long-term measurement accuracy and continuous stable operation performance of high-temperature furnace, kiln and pipeline temperature monitoring links.
