4256A65G03 is the third-generation upgraded high-precision thermocouple signal acquisition card of Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully plug-and-play backward compatible with legacy 4256A65G01 and 4256A65G02 versions. It matches 4256A25 series MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack assembly, with no system configuration, logic program or parameter adjustment needed during replacement.

Description

This module is dedicated to collecting weak millivolt thermoelectric potential signals from industrial thermocouples, compatible with K, S, B, E, J, T, R and all mainstream thermocouple models. It integrates military-grade ultra-low-noise signal amplification, high-precision intelligent cold junction compensation, three-stage cascaded reinforced galvanic isolation and optimized full-range temperature conversion algorithm, converting tiny thermocouple voltage signals into stable, high-repeatability digital temperature data and uploading to the DCS main controller.
Compared with G01 and G02 predecessors, G03 upgrades low-drift instrumentation amplifiers to further suppress signal drift under wide ambient temperature fluctuation; adopts multi-point distributed cold junction compensation algorithm to eliminate measurement errors caused by uneven cabinet temperature; adds multi-level composite EMI suppression circuits, greatly improving anti-interference performance for ultra-long-distance thermocouple wiring in strong electromagnetic industrial environments. Each channel is equipped with fully independent isolation loops to completely avoid cross-channel signal crosstalk.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with 360° fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout. Every signal channel achieves 1000V AC/DC reinforced galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits, effectively isolating surge interference, common-mode noise and electromagnetic radiation generated by inverters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating equipment in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical heavy industrial sites.
All finished boards pass full-lifecycle strict factory reliability verification, including 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel thermocouple full-range precision calibration, long-duration full-load MRC Link bus continuous burn-in test, and comprehensive sensor open-circuit/short-circuit wiring fault simulation test.
It supports single-slot hot-swappable online replacement without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-layer comprehensive hardware protection: surge suppression, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, reverse polarity prevention and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators separately display power supply status, bus communication link status and single-channel thermocouple fault alarms, enabling rapid on-site fault location and troubleshooting, significantly boosting long-term measurement accuracy and continuous stable operation of high-temperature furnace, kiln and pipeline temperature monitoring links.
