4256A64G03 Emerson Ovation WDPF DCS Third-Generation High Precision RTD Temperature Acquisition Board

4256A64G03 is the third-generation upgraded high-precision RTD temperature acquisition card of Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully plug-and-play backward compatible with 4256A64G01 and 4256A64G02 earlier versions. It matches seamlessly with 4256A25 MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack layout.

Description

This module is designed for collecting industrial PT100 and PT1000 resistance temperature detector signals. It completes front-end signal filtering, high-stability constant current excitation, reinforced galvanic isolation and newly optimized ultra-low drift temperature conversion algorithms, transmitting ultra-stable digital temperature measurement data to the DCS main controller. Compared with G01 and G02 versions, G03 upgrades high-precision sampling chips, further suppresses long-term temperature drift of weak resistance signals, optimizes full-range lead wire resistance compensation algorithm, and strengthens anti-electromagnetic interference ability for long-distance field wiring. It supports 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD wiring modes; each channel adopts fully independent isolation circuit to eliminate cross-channel signal crosstalk. No system program or configuration modification is needed during replacement.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with full surrounding electromagnetic shielding layout. Each signal channel is equipped with 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits, which effectively filters severe electromagnetic noise generated by inverters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating equipment in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical heavy industrial sites. Every finished board passes comprehensive full-process factory reliability tests, including 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel ultra-precision temperature calibration, long-term full-load bus communication burn-in and sensor open/short-circuit fault simulation test. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-level hardware protection circuits: surge suppression, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, reverse polarity prevention and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators display power supply status, bus link state and single-channel sensor fault alarms for fast on-site fault location, greatly improving long-term measurement accuracy and continuous operation stability of industrial process temperature monitoring.
