4256A64G02 is the original legacy Westinghouse part number, while 3A99163G50 is Emerson’s official aftermarket spare part number with G50 hardware revision. These two part numbers represent the identical upgraded high-precision RTD temperature acquisition board, designed to pair with 4256A25 series MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for Ovation WDPF DCS remote I/O racks. It is fully plug-and-play backward compatible with the earlier G01 version, with no system configuration modifications required during replacement.

Description

This module is dedicated to collecting industrial PT100 and PT1000 RTD signals. It implements front-end signal filtering, constant current excitation, galvanic isolation and optimized high-precision temperature conversion algorithms, outputting low-drift, stable digital temperature data to the DCS main controller. Compared with the G01 generation, the G02 model updates core sampling circuits to minimize long-term measurement drift of weak resistance signals, and deploys an upgraded lead resistance compensation algorithm to eliminate reading deviations induced by long field cables. It supports 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD wiring, with independent isolation circuits per channel to eliminate cross-channel signal crosstalk.
Constructed with multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB and fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout, each signal channel adopts 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field terminals and internal logic circuits to resist severe electromagnetic noise from inverters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating machinery in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical heavy industrial sites. Every finished card passes complete factory reliability verification: 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel temperature precision calibration, long-duration full-load bus communication burn-in and sensor open/short-circuit fault simulation. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without overall DCS system shutdown, and integrates multi-level hardware protections including surge suppression, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, reverse polarity prevention and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators display power supply status, bus link state and single-channel sensor fault alarms for fast on-site troubleshooting, greatly lifting long-term measurement accuracy and operational stability of industrial process temperature monitoring.
