4256A64G02 Emerson Ovation WDPF DCS Upgraded High Precision RTD Temperature Acquisition Board

4256A64G02 is the upgraded second-generation high-precision RTD acquisition card of Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully backward plug-and-play compatible with the base model 4256A64G01. It matches perfectly with 4256A25 MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack deployment.

Description

This module is designed to collect industrial RTD signals such as PT100 and PT1000. It realizes signal filtering, constant current excitation, galvanic isolation and high-accuracy temperature conversion algorithms, transmitting stable digital temperature data to the DCS main controller. Compared with G01 version, G02 optimizes front-end sampling circuits, lowers long-term temperature drift and enhances anti-interference performance of weak resistance signals. It supports 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD wiring, with upgraded intelligent lead resistance compensation to minimize measurement errors brought by long-distance field cables. Each channel adopts fully independent isolation architecture to eliminate cross-channel signal crosstalk. No system configuration modification is required during card replacement.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout. Every signal channel features 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits, effectively resisting severe electromagnetic noise generated by inverters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating equipment in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical heavy industrial sites. All finished boards pass comprehensive factory validation: 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel high-precision temperature calibration, long-duration full-load bus communication burn-in and sensor open/short-circuit fault simulation. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-level hardware protections including surge suppression, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity prevention and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators display power supply status, bus link condition and single-channel sensor fault alarms for rapid on-site troubleshooting, greatly improving measurement accuracy and long-term operational stability of industrial temperature monitoring.
