4256A56G01 is a high-density digital input card belonging to Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, designed to match 4256A25 MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack deployment. This module collects massive field discrete input signals including equipment contact feedback, valve position limit signals, relay status, interlock switch signals and safety contact signals. It realizes signal filtering, optoelectronic isolation, level conversion and bus data packaging to transmit field digital status to the DCS main controller. All signal channels adopt independent opto-isolation design to eliminate cross-channel signal interference, featuring higher channel density than ordinary digital I/O boards to save cabinet installation space. It supports plug-and-play replacement with all compatible MRC master and expansion boards without modifying system configurations.

Description

Constructed with multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB and fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout, each channel is equipped with 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits to resist severe electromagnetic noise generated by frequency converters, high-voltage switchgears and large rotating machinery in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical heavy industrial sites. Every unit passes rigorous full-process factory verification: 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging test, full-channel signal consistency calibration, long-duration full-load bus communication burn-in and single-channel fault simulation. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-level hardware protection circuits including surge suppression, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. Independent LED diagnostic indicators display power supply status, bus link state and single-channel fault alarms for rapid on-site troubleshooting, greatly improving the efficiency and space utilization of large-scale discrete signal acquisition in industrial sites.
