4256A51G01 is a digital input & output signal processing board from Westinghouse Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, designed to coordinate with 4256A25 MRC main remote control boards and 4256A26 remote expansion boards for remote I/O rack deployment. This module handles on-site discrete digital signals including contact switch status, relay feedback, valve limit signals and logic output commands, completing signal filtering, optocoupler isolation, level conversion and bus data packaging to realize two-way digital signal interaction between field equipment and the DCS main controller. All signal channels adopt independent opto-isolation design to eliminate cross-channel signal interference. It features plug-and-play compatibility with all existing MRC and remote expansion boards, requiring no modification to system configuration during replacement.

Description

Constructed with multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB and fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout, each channel provides 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits to suppress heavy electromagnetic interference caused by frequency converters, high-voltage switch cabinets and large rotating machinery in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical industrial sites. Every card undergoes rigorous factory testing, including 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging, full-channel signal consistency calibration, long-duration full-load bus burn-in and single-channel fault simulation. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-layer hardware protection circuits: surge suppression, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. Built-in independent LED diagnostic lights indicate power supply, bus communication and individual channel fault alarms for fast on-site troubleshooting, greatly improving the reliability of discrete signal acquisition and logic control output in industrial field environments.
