3A99165G05 Servo Amplifier Card | Emerson Ovation DEH Turbine Control

3A99165G05 is the latest standard revision of Ovation single-width Eurocard servo amplifier for fossil & nuclear power plant DEH valve closed-loop control, fully pin-to-pin compatible with all former 3A99165-G series variants for direct drop-in replacement without cabinet rewiring or terminal modification.

Description

1. Product Overview

It receives ±10VDC analog/PWM valve position command signals from upper main controller card 3A99164G50, converts reference signal into precision adjustable constant current to drive EH servo solenoid coils; synchronously acquires multi-channel AC LVDT displacement feedback signal to implement closed-loop positioning for turbine main stop valve, control valve and bypass valve.
Core upgrade vs G04/G52: optimized full-stage drive amplifier circuit, upgraded high-reliability surge suppression & EMC filtering components, enhanced PCB three anti-conformal coating, widened working current range to adapt heavy-load large-caliber servo valves for supercritical/ultra-supercritical generating units, effectively lowering valve hunting, position drift and high-temperature invalidation failure rate under severe cabinet EMI & high ambient temperature.

2. Electrical Technical Parameters

  • Backplane power input: +5VDC, ±12VDC, powered by rack-mounted 3A99132 series PCPS power supply module

  • Command input: ±10VDC analog signal / PWM pulse-width modulation control signal

  • Rated output drive current: adjustable constant current 0~±45mA (improved from G04 40mA/G52 42mA) for heavy-duty servo coil driving

  • Feedback interface: multi-group small AC signal input terminals for LVDT position sensor wiring

  • Onboard hardware configuration: independent channel short-circuit protective fuse, upgraded transient absorption diode array, high-precision gain trim potentiometer for on-site closed-loop parameter calibration, overheat, overcurrent & output short-circuit latch protection circuit, full-board multi-stage RC anti-interference filter network

3. Environmental & Mechanical Specifications

  • Operating temperature inside control cabinet: -12℃ ~ +70℃; storage temperature: -40℃ ~ +90℃

  • Working ambient humidity: 5%~95%RH non-condensing; full PCB coated with enhanced three-proof paint (moisture-proof, mildew-proof, salt-spray resistant)

  • EMC certification: compliant with IEC61000 power industry anti-electromagnetic interference standard, strengthened immunity against high-frequency interference from cabinet contactors, inverters and power frequency harmonics

  • Outline dimension: standard Ovation single slot Eurocard size, unified mounting outline with all previous G-series 3A99165 servo boards, integrated metal shielding frame

4. Front Panel Indication & Maintenance Features

Front panel integrated independent LED status indicators: power supply normal, input command fault, output overcurrent overload, LVDT feedback abnormal four status lights; reserved onboard test terminals for multimeter measurement and closed-loop loop debugging during field maintenance.
Support hot-swap replacement under cabinet rack energized standby condition without full rack power shutdown; critical turbine governing loops commonly adopt dual redundant 3A99165G05 configuration to ensure uninterrupted servo control during single card fault maintenance.

5. Supply Status & Common Fault Troubleshooting

Original OEM brand-new mass production discontinued; available products include original surplus new stock and fully bench-tested refurbished modules with standard 12-month global warranty.
  1. No servo output: blown channel fuse or damaged post-stage power drive chip

  2. Continuous valve oscillation/hunting: aging internal filter capacitors or drift of gain potentiometer setpoint

  3. Slow valve position drifting: performance degradation of LVDT pre-amplifier circuit or poor contact of PCB gold finger pins
