Interface & Communication Configuration
External port: DB9 female PROFIBUS-DP bus terminal for bus cable wiring
Internal connector: Gold-plated edge connector plug into servo drive mainboard expansion slot
Onboard setting: DIP coding switch for slave station address configuration; LED status indicator for RUN/BUS-FAULT communication diagnosis
Wiring specification: Standard PROFIBUS shielded twisted pair cable, bus terminal with terminating resistor option
Core Functions
Realize host PLC (Siemens/third-party PLC) cyclic real-time data exchange with servo drive via PROFIBUS-DP bus
Transmit position command, speed setpoint, torque setpoint from upper controller to servo drive
Upload servo actual speed, position, fault code, operating status back to PLC host
Support cyclic PDO process data communication and acyclic SDO parameter access for drive parameter modification
Bus fault detection with LED alarm indication, automatic offline protection during bus disconnection
Application Scenarios
CNC machine multi-axis synchronous servo control production line
Automated packaging, printing equipment multi-drive bus networking
Robot joint servo drive centralized PROFIBUS control system
Metal forming, textile machinery multi-axis distributed motion control
Usage & Maintenance Instruction
Power off servo drive completely before plug/unplug the DPF card to avoid backplane burnout
Set station DIP address offline before bus wiring, no duplicate address on same PROFIBUS segment
Check bus terminal termination resistor at two ends of PROFIBUS trunk to eliminate signal reflection error
Clean PCB gold-plated edge contacts with isopropyl alcohol when intermittent communication fault occurs
Firmware update only via official Indramat engineering software IndraWorks
