Description

Model Code Definition

DKC = ECODRIVE03 full digital servo drive family code

21.3 = Series 21, Revision 3 hardware, expandable slot design for optional fieldbus daughterboard, enhanced power dissipation structure vs DKC2.3 series

040 = Nominal continuous output rated current: 40Arms

7 = High voltage grade, three-phase AC380~480V input, nominal 700VDC DC bus

FW = General basic firmware with three-loop control, without built-in electronic cam and master-slave electronic gearing functions

Communication Ports: Front-panel RS232 for DriveTop commissioning, reserved slot for optional RS485, Profibus-DP, CANopen or SERCOS plug-in communication board

Core Functions

FW standard firmware realizes full closed-loop regulation of position, speed and torque. Support three running modes: analog voltage speed control, pulse positioning, multi-step fixed positioning triggered by digital input. Integrated STO safe torque-off function plus full protection against overcurrent, DC bus over/undervoltage, power module overheat and encoder cable break, front LED numeric fault indication. No native electronic cam and synchronous master-slave functions.

Application Fields

Heavy-duty rotary printing presses, high-speed film slitting & winding lines, large-format packaging machinery, heavy-load CNC feed axes and multi-spindle automated assembly equipment.

Operation & Maintenance Instructions

Type-7 high voltage model must be powered by three-phase AC380~480V; single-phase 220V input leads to persistent DC bus undervoltage fault and insufficient output torque.

Built-in blower cooling requires unblocked cabinet ventilation; keep ≥40mm clearance at top and bottom of drive unit.

Frequent forward-reverse cyclic working condition requires external high-power braking resistor to avoid internal bleeder overheat damage.

Parameter backup and download must match corresponding DriveTop software version; parameter files cannot be directly migrated between FW and FM firmware versions.
