DKC2.3-040-7-FW | Bosch Rexroth Indramat ECODRIVE03 Servo Drive

Product Overview Compact high-voltage digital servo amplifier based on Rexroth Indramat ECODRIVE03 DKC2.3 hardware platform with built-in forced air cooling. It is preloaded with standard FW general-purpose factory firmware, rated continuous output current 40Arms, matched for MKD / MHD high-voltage synchronous servo motors. Widely used as replacement spare part for multi-axis packaging lines, rotary printing machines, slitting equipment and general CNC feed axes.

Description

Model Code Definition

DKC = ECODRIVE full digital servo drive product family code

2.3 = Series 2 Revision 3 compact hardware design with expansion slot for optional fieldbus daughterboard

040 = Nominal continuous output current: 40Arms

7 = High voltage specification, three-phase AC380~480V input, rated DC bus 700VDC

FW = Standard universal basic firmware supporting triple-loop control without embedded electronic cam and electronic gearing functions compared to FM dedicated firmware

Debug & Fieldbus: Front panel RS232 serial port for DriveTop parameter commissioning; Profibus-DP, CANopen or SERCOS communication expandable via optional plug-in daughterboard

Core Functions

FW standard firmware implements full closed-loop regulation of position, speed and torque. Three available operation modes: analog voltage speed control, pulse-based position control and multi-step fixed positioning triggered by digital input signals. Integrated STO safe torque-off safety function plus comprehensive fault protection against overcurrent, DC bus over/undervoltage, power module overtemperature and encoder cable break, with front LED numeric fault code indication. No native electronic cam and master-slave synchronization functions.

Application Fields

High-speed automatic packaging production lines, rotary printing equipment, medium-duty winding & slitting machinery, small-size CNC feed axes and multi-axis automated component assembling equipment.

Operation & Maintenance Instructions

Type-7 high voltage variant is exclusively designed for three-phase AC380~480V mains; connection to single-phase 220V supply causes permanent DC bus undervoltage alarm and insufficient output torque.

Compact body with limited heat dissipation area; never install within fully sealed cabinet without proper ventilation clearance.

External high-power braking resistor is mandatory for frequent forward-reverse cyclic operation to avoid internal brake unit overheat burnout.

Parameter upload and download requires corresponding matched DriveTop software version; drive parameters cannot be directly duplicated between FW and FM firmware versions.
