The 2GN44001 is a 1 HP (0.75 kW) three-phase AC variable frequency drive from Reliance Electric GP-2000 series. It is designed for light-duty industrial motor control. With 460 VAC input, it is widely applied to small fans, pumps, conveyors and general machinery in light manufacturing. This model has been discontinued by the manufacturer, and refurbished units are mainly used for maintenance of legacy systems.

2 stands for the standard industrial drive series. GN represents the compact AC drive platform of GP-2000 series. 44001 indicates 460 VAC input, 1 HP power rating and hardware revision 01.

Motor power is 1 HP (0.75 kW). Input voltage is 460 VAC ±10%, three-phase, 50/60 Hz. Output voltage ranges from 0 to 460 VAC, three-phase, and output frequency ranges from 0 to 400 Hz. The continuous rated output current is 2.1 A. It adopts V/F control mode. Built-in protection functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, short-circuit and ground fault protection. The operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to +45 °C. It is panel mounted with NEMA 1 enclosure. The overall weight is approximately 4.5 kg.

It is equipped with power terminals for main AC input, motor output and DC bus braking connection. The control terminals support ±10 V analog input for speed reference and 24 VDC digital I/O for start stop, fault reset and jog functions. It applies Reliance proprietary protocol without standard fieldbus ports. LED indicators show power, run and fault status, and a 7-segment display is used to check parameters and fault codes. This model does not support encoder feedback and only works with sensorless V/F control.

It realizes stable speed regulation for 1 HP three-phase AC motors via V/F control. It improves energy efficiency for light variable torque loads. It supports external braking resistors to achieve rapid deceleration. Real-time system monitoring and fault code logging help operators troubleshoot quickly. Install the drive inside a clean and well ventilated cabinet, and reserve 50 mm clearance for heat dissipation. Use shielded cables for motor and control signal wiring, and tighten all terminals to specified torque. Confirm the input voltage is normal before powering on. Power up the control circuit first and then the main power, and set parameters according to the motor nameplate. Inspect wiring connections every quarter, and clean heat sinks and filters every six months. Cut off all power supply and wait 5 minutes for DC bus capacitors to fully discharge before any inspection or maintenance work.
