Description
Product Description
The 25G4160 is a 25 HP (18.5 kW) three-phase AC variable frequency drive belonging to Reliance Electric GV3000/SE series. It adopts sensorless vector control technology and is designed for heavy-duty industrial motor control. This product has been discontinued by the original manufacturer, and surplus and refurbished units are widely applied for maintenance and retrofitting of legacy industrial automation systems.
Model Number Interpretation
25 represents the rated power of 25 horsepower. G stands for GV3000 series AC drive platform. 41 indicates the input voltage range of 380 to 460 VAC. 60 refers to the standard version with enhanced sensorless vector function and compatibility with 50Hz and 60Hz power grids. This model is the standard configuration equipped with integrated keypad and NEMA 1 enclosure.
Technical Specifications
The rated power is 25 HP or 18.5 kW. The three-phase input voltage ranges from 380 VAC to 460 VAC, supporting 50Hz and 60Hz frequency. The full load input current is 37.0 A, and the input KVA is 29.5. The three-phase output voltage ranges from 0 to 460 VAC, and the output frequency ranges from 0 to 200 Hz. It supports V/Hz control and sensorless vector control modes. The enclosure is NEMA 1 with IP20 protection level for indoor panel mounting. The allowable operating ambient temperature is from 0 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius, and the storage temperature ranges from minus 20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. It uses built-in fan for heat dissipation. The overall weight is approximately 6.8 kilograms. The product is UL certified and RoHS compliant.
Interface and Communication Configuration
Main power terminals include L1, L2, L3 for three-phase AC input, U, V, W for motor output, and positive and negative terminals for DC bus connection. The control terminal block is fitted with 8 channels of 24 VDC digital inputs, 3 relay outputs rated at 250 VAC and 5 A, 2 analog inputs compatible with 4-20mA and 0-10 VDC signals, as well as 2 analog outputs of 0-10 VDC. An onboard RS-232 communication port is reserved for connecting external human-machine interfaces or PLC devices. The front panel is equipped with a keypad and display screen to realize local parameter setting, operation control and running status monitoring. It also provides dedicated terminals for encoder signal access to achieve high-precision speed regulation.
Core Functions
It features switchable V/Hz and sensorless vector control modes to meet different requirements of speed and torque regulation. The sensorless vector control delivers stable high torque output at low speed and ensures accurate motor running performance. The built-in comprehensive protection functions include overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, overload and overtemperature protection, which effectively protect the drive and the matched motor. It supports external dynamic braking components to handle regenerative energy during motor deceleration. The internal non-volatile memory can store user configured parameters, facilitating parameter backup and copying. The optimized PWM operation helps reduce running noise and mechanical impact.
Application Scenarios
It is suitable for driving conveyors, cranes, hoists and other material handling equipment. It also works for pumps, fans, blowers, mixers and extruders in process industries. In addition, it can be applied to large industrial HVAC systems, machine tools and packaging machinery. This drive is mainly used to replace and upgrade old GV3000 series drives in 380-460 VAC three-phase legacy systems.
Usage and Maintenance Instructions
Install the drive vertically on a firm mounting panel and reserve enough space around it to guarantee smooth air circulation and heat dissipation. Use shielded cables for control signal wiring, and keep power wiring and control wiring separated to avoid electromagnetic interference. Tighten all terminals to the specified torque before powering on. Regularly check the operating current, temperature and running status during operation. Disconnect all power sources and wait for the DC bus to fully discharge before carrying out inspection and maintenance work. Periodically check all wiring terminals for looseness, corrosion and overheating signs, and clean dust on cooling fans and ventilation passages regularly. Do not operate the drive beyond the specified ambient temperature range. Store spare units in a cool, dry and dust-free environment. Do not disassemble the equipment without professional guidance.
