0-60010-E

Product Introduction Reliance 0-60010-E is an I/O and feedback interface board of the PMI series DC speed control system from Reliance Electric (now part of Rockwell Automation). It is used to process encoder/resolver signals, digital input/output, and system interlock signals. It is a key board card that connects control cards with on-site sensors/actuators and is a legacy discontinued spare part. It is widely used in the maintenance of old direct current drive equipment.

Resolver: Excitation 10Vrms/400Hz, angle resolution 12bit

Digital Input: 8 channels, 24V DC level

Output Signal: Digital output 8 channels, relay contacts (250V AC/3A)

Operating Temperature: 0–55°C; Storage: -20–70°C

Dimensions (Width × Height × Depth): Approximately 30×220×180mm

Weight: Approximately 1.6kg

Installation: PMI rack-specific slot, front panel mounting

Insulation Voltage Rating: I/O and logic ground 1kV AC/1min

Interface and Communication Configuration

Front Panel Terminal Block:

TB1: Encoder/Resolver feedback (12-pin)

TB2: Digital input (8-pin, 24V DC)

TB3: Digital output (8-pin, relay)

TB4: System interlock/stop signal (6-pin)

Backplane Interface: Gold fingers, connecting control card and power supply

Communication: No independent communication port, signals interact through the backplane with the control card

Status Indicators: 4 LED (PWR, FBK, IN, OUT), indicating power, feedback, input, and output status respectively Core function

Feedback signal processing: Amplification, filtering, and analog-to-digital conversion of encoder/Resolver signals, providing high-precision speed/position feedback.

Isolation of digital I/O: 8 input and 8 output optocouplers, anti-interference, suitable for on-site 24V sensors and relays.

Signal interlock and protection: Collection of emergency stop, limit switch, overheating, etc. interlock signals, triggering the system to stop safely.

Signal compatibility adaptation: Supports multiple feedback types (encoder/Resolver), adapted to different motors and sensors.

Fault diagnosis: Detection of abnormal feedback signals, I/O short circuit/overload, quickly locating faults through LED indicator lights. Applicable scenarios

Industrial direct current drive: Power supply systems for large-capacity DC motor drives of rolling mills, paper machines, extruders, cranes, conveyors, etc.

PMI system original equipment / replacement: Compatible with all PMI racks (such as 57C series), directly replacing the old version 0-60010-A/B/C/D.

High-precision control scenarios: Equipment requiring precise speed / position closed-loop control, such as tension control, synchronous transmission.

Maintenance of outdated production lines: Replacement of spare parts for out-of-service equipment to ensure the continuous operation of the production line and reduce renovation costs.

User and maintenance instructions Installation

When the power is off, insert the PMI rack-specific slot and tighten the screws on the front panel; do not perform hot swapping to avoid damaging the gold fingers.

The installation location should be far away from power lines and heat-generating components to ensure a smooth heat dissipation airflow.

Connections

Feedback line: Shielded twisted pair for encoders, differential signal single-ended grounding; Resolver line uses dedicated shielded cable.

I/O line: Digital input line diameter ≥ 0.75mm², digital output load does not exceed the rated value of the relay.

Single-ended grounding of the shielding layer to avoid ground loop interference.

Daily maintenance

Discharge dust and check every 3-6 months, inspect whether the terminals are loose, oxidized, or abraded.

Observe LED status: PWR always on is normal; FBK flashing → feedback abnormal; IN/OUT not lit → corresponding channel failure.

Fault troubleshooting

No feedback signal: Check feedback wiring, sensor power supply, and board FBK indicator light; abnormal → board or sensor damage.

I/O no response: Check 24V power supply, wiring terminals, relay contacts; short circuit → check the load or board output circuit.

Interlock mis-trigger: Check emergency stop/limit switch wiring, contact status, and board interlock input channel.
