JANCD-MBB04

JANCD-MBB04 (Yaskawa Motoman XRC/MRC Robot Control Cabinet I/O Backplane, New Generation) Function: An upgraded and updated version of MBB02-2. A dedicated I/O backplane for XRC/MRC cabinets, non-numerical control motherboard, discontinued by the manufacturer, mainly for disassembly and refurbishment, and cannot be directly interchanged with MBB01/MBB02.

Description

I. Model and Identification

Model: JANCD-MBB04

Version: Rev A0 (mainstream), silk-screened as DF9201435-A0

Part Number: 132147-4 (MBB02-2 is 132147-2)

Ownership: JANCD → Motoman XRC/MRC robot control cabinet (not for CNC J300/LX system)

Status: Completely discontinued by the original manufacturer, with a small stock less than MBB02-2, and higher price.

II. Core Differences (Upgrade Points) between MBB04 and MBB02-2

1. Hardware and Reliability

Gold plating on slots + reinforcement: Fully thickened and gold-plated slots (MBB02-2 has standard gold plating), stronger oxidation resistance; reinforced metal lockers for connectors, vibration resistance increased by 50%.

PCB material upgrade: Use high Tg flame-retardant board, with a high temperature tolerance of 0–55℃ (MBB02-2 is 0–45℃), MTBF reaches 2.5 million hours.

Power supply redundancy enhancement: Dual 24V power supply on the back panel (MBB02-2 is single), load capacity up to 80W, supports more I/O modules.

ESD protection upgrade: New static protection circuit, reducing the risk of on-site static damage.

2. Compatibility and Replacement

Incompatible with MBB01/MBB02: Different pin definitions, slot layout, connector positions, cannot be directly replaced with MBB01/MBB02.

Sub-board compatibility: Specifically adapted for JANCD-MIO04, AIF04, YIF04, etc., fourth-generation robot I/F boards, incompatible with AIF01/YIF01.

III. Technical Specifications (MBB04 Rev A0)

Compatible systems: Motoman XRC, MRC robot controllers (DX100/DX200 not applicable)

Number of slots: 12 I/O slots (same as MBB02, but with a new generation interface)

Connectors: 6 (1×120-pin, 2×20-pin, 2×3-pin, 1×power supply), reinforced lockers

Power supply: Dual DC24V ±10%, total power consumption approximately 80W

Operating temperature: 0–55℃ (10℃ higher than MBB02-2)

Size/Weight: Approximately 349×25×330mm / 1.3kg

V. Typical Configuration and Replacement Suggestions

XRC High-End Upgrade: MBB04 + MIO04×4 + AIF04 + Dual 24V Power Supply, Suitable for High-Density I/O, High Temperature, and Strong Vibration Scenarios.

Selection Priority: MBB04 (Rev A0) > MBB02-2 > MBB02-1 > MBB01; Only select MBB04 in the Fourth Generation I/O Module Scenario.

Purchase Points: Select Thickened Gold Plated Slots, No Corrosion, Dual Power Supply Normal, With Warranty Disassembly / Refurbished Board.

Common Alarms:

Power On No Display → Check Dual 24V Power Supply and 6 Connectors.

I/O Communication→ Confirm Sub-board as MIO04/AIF04, Do Not Mix Insert Old Model AIF01.

High Temperature Alarm → MBB04 Compatible with 0–55℃, Check Cabinet Cooling.
