JANCD-FC861 Brand: Yaskawa / Yasnac Model: JANCD-FC861 Part No: DF9201378-A0 Type: Compact Digital I/O Board (YASNAC I80 Series) Weight: Approx. 0.27 kg (0.6 lbs)

Description

1. General Description

JANCD-FC861 is a compact, cost-effective digital I/O board for the YASNAC I80 CNC system. It serves as a smaller companion to the FC860, providing flexible I/O expansion for mid-range machine tools and auxiliary control units. It connects to the FC500 PLC main board via the internal high-speed bus.

2. Basic Specifications

  • Compatible System: YASNAC I80 / I80M

  • Backplane: JANCD-FC001 (1 full slot)

  • Dimensions: 267 × 140 mm

  • I/O Points: 64 inputs / 56 outputs

  • Input Voltage: DC 24 V ±10% (NPN/PNP selectable)

  • Output Rating: DC 24 V, 0.5 A per point (short-circuit protected)

  • Operating Current: ~0.3 A (24 V DC)

  • Operating Temperature: 0 °C to +60 °C

  • Storage Temperature: −20 °C to +70 °C

  • Humidity: ≤80% RH (non-condensing)

  • Protection: Surge protection on all lines, LED status indicators

3. Key Features

Compact & Flexible I/O

  • 64 universal 24 V DC inputs

  • 56 transistor outputs with overcurrent/short-circuit protection

  • Flat YENET connector for reliable, space-saving wiring

System Integration

  • High-speed bus connection to FC500 PLC board

  • Real-time I/O data refresh

  • Can be mixed with FC860/FC810 in the same system

High-Density Expansion

  • Up to 9 boards per I80 system

  • Max total: 640 inputs / 560 outputs

4. Compatibility & Configuration

Required Boards

  • CPU: JANCD-FC250 / FC251

  • PLC Core: JANCD-FC500

  • Backplane: JANCD-FC001

Typical System Setup

  • 5-axis machining center: FC251 + FC500 + FC860 + FC861

  • Auxiliary I/O expansion: FC250 + FC500 + (2–4) × FC861

Limitations

  • Occupies one full slot on FC001 backplane

5. Common Faults

  • I/O communication error: Backplane contact issue or bus fault

  • Input no response: Wiring fault or channel damage

  • Output failure: Load short circuit or transistor burnout

  • All LEDs off: 24 V power loss or blown fuse

6. Applications

  • Mid-range 3–5 axis CNC machine tools

  • Auxiliary I/O expansion for large systems

  • Multi-station automation with moderate signal count

  • Cost-sensitive I80 system upgrades
