A20B-2002-0310

Model: A20B-2002-0310 Type: Spindle motor position/speed encoder sensor board (magnetic-electric, non-contact) Function: Real-time detection of spindle position, speed, rotation direction; outputs A/B/Z-phase differential pulses for spindle closed-loop control Application: FANUC spindle motors (α/αi series); CNC lathes, machining centers, etc.

Description

Specifications

  • Power Supply: DC 5V ±5%

  • Signal Output: Differential A/B/Z pulses (anti-interference)

  • Sensing Principle: Magnetic-electric induction (non-contact, long life)

  • Operating Temp: 0°C ~ +60°C

  • Protection: Vibration/oil resistance; fault self-diagnosis (triggers spindle encoder alarms)

Compatibility

  • CNC Systems: FANUC 0i, 16i, 18i, 21i series

  • Spindle Motors: FANUC α, αi series AC spindle motors

  • Mounting: Directly installed at the rear of the spindle motor; compact, no calibration after replacement

Common Alarms & Troubleshooting

  • Alarm 36x (Spindle Encoder Error): Check 5V power, connector wiring, or sensor board damage.

  • Spindle Positioning Inaccuracy: Re-seat the sensor or replace it (non-contact, no mechanical wear).

  • No Speed Feedback: Verify A/B pulse output and connector pin continuity.

Installation & ESD

  1. Power OFF the machine and wait ≥5 min for discharge.

  2. Use an anti-static wrist strap to avoid static damage.

  3. Align the board with the motor’s rear slot, seat firmly, and secure screws.

  4. Reconnect the encoder cable; power on and test spindle positioning/speed.
