4. Installation Steps

1. Power OFF the servo amplifier and CNC; implement lockout/tagout.

2. Locate the battery compartment on the side of the αi SVM amplifier.

3. Release the snap tabs and remove the old cover (if present).

4. Insert the A06B-6114-K504 battery into the K506 case, aligning the connector with the cutout.

5. Insert the assembly into the compartment until it snaps firmly into place.

6. Connect the battery plug to CXA2A / CXA2B (BATL) on the amplifier.

7. Restore power and verify absolute position retention.

5. Safety & Warnings

• Caution: K506 is a cover only; battery (K504) is not included.

• Warning: Use only FANUC OEM K504 batteries; third‑party batteries may cause damage or data loss.

• Replacement Interval: Replace battery every 2 years (typical use) to avoid losing absolute encoder positions.
