4. Installation Steps

1. Power off the servo amplifier and CNC system; lockout/tagout to prevent unexpected startup.

2. Locate the battery compartment on the side of the αi SVM amplifier.

3. Open the existing battery cover (if installed) by releasing the snap tabs.

4. Place the A06B-6114-K504 battery into the K505 cover, ensuring the connector aligns with the cutout.

5. Insert the battery assembly into the amplifier compartment; press until the cover snaps into place.

6. Connect the battery plug to the CXA2A/CXA2B connector (BATL terminal) on the amplifier.

7. Restore power; verify absolute encoder position retention (no homing required).
