General Description
The A06B-6089 series is the Alpha series SVU (Servo Amplifier Unit), a high‑performance single‑/multi‑axis servo drive for FANUC CNC systems. It works with α series servo motors and is used on machining centers, lathes, grinders, and robots. Typical models: A06B-6089-H102, H104, H105, H206.
Specifications
Electrical
Three‑phase AC input 200–230VAC, 50/60Hz. Rated input current approx. 13.4A (H104), 17A (H105) at 200V. DC bus 283–325VDC from PSM. Max output voltage 230VAC. Rated output current: 12.5A (H104), 18.7A (H105). Supports regenerative braking to feed energy back to the power supply.
Mechanical and Environmental
Vertical mounting in cabinet. Forced-air cooling with internal fan. Operating temperature 0°C to 50°C. Dimensions approx. 150mm width × 380mm height × 307mm depth; weight about 5–6kg.
Compatibility
Designed for FANUC Alpha servo motors (αi‑B, α series). Compatible CNC: 0i‑C/D, 16i/18i/21i‑A/B, Power Mate. Fiber‑optic link to CNC and PSM.
Key Features
Compact, rugged construction saves cabinet space and resists vibration. High‑precision current, speed, and position control for high‑speed, high‑accuracy machining. Built‑in LED status indicators and diagnostics for real‑time monitoring and quick fault finding. Multiple protection: overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, fan fault, IPM fault. Regenerative capability improves energy efficiency.
Common Alarms
AL‑01 Overvoltage (HV): DC bus too high.AL‑02 Low control voltage (LV): Control power supply low.AL‑05 Over‑regenerative discharge (DCOH): Regen energy too high or transformer overheat.AL‑06 L/M axis overcurrent (HCM): Excessive motor current.AL‑08 L‑axis IPM alarm (IPML): L‑axis power module fault.AL‑09 M‑axis IPM alarm (IPMM): M‑axis power module fault.
Installation and Safety Notes
Disconnect all power before installation or maintenance. Confirm the “CHARGING” LED is off before handling to avoid electric shock. Allow sufficient clearance for airflow and cooling. Tighten mounting screws securely to prevent vibration issues. Periodically check fans, terminal tightness, and heat sink cleanliness. If an alarm occurs, stop the machine immediately and check motor, wiring, and PSM.
Application Range
High‑speed, high‑precision CNC machining centers, heavy‑duty lathes, grinders, and multi‑axis robots. Also suitable for automation equipment requiring precise servo motion control.
