Installation & Wiring

1. ESD Protection: Use anti‑static wristbands and ESD‑safe work surfaces.

2. Power Off: De‑energize the I/O chassis before insertion/removal.

3. Chassis Installation:

   • Insert FTA into Size A slot in UCN I/O chassis.

   • Secure with mounting screws.

   • Connect 50‑pin ribbon cable to mating IOP.

4. Field Wiring:

   • Use shielded twisted‑pair cable for voltage signals.

   • Connect signal positive/negative to designated compression terminals.

   • Ground shields at one end to avoid ground loops.
