The motion control software library developed based on the PLCopen international standard is compatible with the entire series of ABB AC500 PLCs. It provides CD installation media and complete technical documentation. It supports multi-CPU operation with single package multi-authorization, complies with CE and RoHS environmental certifications, and is compatible with industrial software installation and authorization activation processes.

Functions and positioning

It provides dedicated function blocks for motion control for the AC500 series PLCs, enabling functions such as speed control, position control, interpolation positioning, and zero return. It supports seamless integration with ABB frequency converters and servo systems, without the need for additional motion controllers. It can directly integrate motion control tasks within the PLC, suitable for multi-site OEM equipment manufacturers and system integrators, simplifying multi-axis equipment programming and debugging.

Core performance parameters

Compliant with the PLCopen motion control specification, it supports up to 64 axes, includes point position control and continuous path control function blocks, supports various physical units such as mm and inches, is compatible with IEC61131-3 programming language, and is compatible with ABB EtherCAT and PROFINET real-time Ethernet buses. The authorization form is multi-CPU operation authorization.

General compatible accessories

Compatible with all series of AC500 CPU modules, including PM567, PM570, PM573, PM575, PM577, PM582, PM585-ETH, PM590-ETH, etc. It can be used with the Automation Builder programming software and is compatible with EtherCAT and PROFINET communication modules.
