A06B-6050-K120

FANUC Connector Kit A06B-6050-K120 General Description A06B-6050-K120 is an original FANUC D-Sub 15pin (DB15) right-angle signal connector kit, designed exclusively for A06B-6050 series servo amplifiers and velocity control units (VCU). It serves as the dedicated interface for encoder feedback, analog speed commands, servo enable, and alarm signals between FANUC CNC systems and servo drives. The right-angle form factor optimizes cabinet wiring in tight spaces, while the full-shield design ensures high immunity to electromagnetic interference. Widely use

Difference from A06B-6050-K119

  • K119: Straight-type DB15 connector, for standard inline wiring; suitable for straight-through cable routing

  • K120: Right-angle DB15 connector, for corner wiring in cramped cabinets; saves space and reduces cable bending stress; enhanced shielding for high-noise environments

Installation Instructions

  1. Perform all installation and wiring with all power disconnected to avoid electric shock or component damage.

  2. Strip the shielded cable per standard wire gauge, preserving the inner core integrity.

  3. Crimp or solder conductors to connector pins per FANUC official pinout; ensure firm contact with no cold joints.

  4. Insert crimped pins into the housing until positively locked.

  5. Align the right-angle connector with the servo amplifier port, insert smoothly, and tighten the locking screw.

  6. Allow adequate cable slack to avoid tension at the connector; avoid sharp bends.

Wiring Requirements

  • Use FANUC-certified shielded signal cables only.

  • Route signal cables separately from high-power cables; maintain minimum 15 mm spacing to reduce crosstalk.

  • Ground the cable shield at both ends per specifications to maximize noise immunity.

  • Strictly follow FANUC’s official pin assignment; do not alter wiring order.

  • Keep contacts clean and dry; prevent oil contamination and moisture ingress.

Working Environment

  • Operating Temperature: 0°C to +40°C

  • Storage Temperature: -20°C to +60°C

  • Relative Humidity: ≤80% (non-condensing)

  • Environment: Avoid corrosive gases, oil mist, conductive dust, and excessive vibration.

  • Location: Do not install in direct sunlight or near high-temperature heat sources.

Maintenance Instructions

  • Periodically (quarterly) power off and inspect connector seating and lock integrity.

  • Clean dust and oil with a dry soft cloth; keep contact surfaces clean and dry.

  • Check cables for aging, sheath cracks, or contact oxidation; replace if abnormal.

  • Minimize frequent unplugging to prevent pin deformation and lock failure.

  • Do not disassemble the connector housing; internal damage will void shielding and electrical performance.

Safety Precautions

  • Installation, wiring, and removal must be performed by qualified electrical personnel.

  • Never hot-plug the connector; signal transients may damage the servo unit or CNC system.

  • Ensure reliable system grounding to minimize EMI and prevent electric shock.

  • Do not modify the connector structure or extend signal cables without official approval.

  • Keep the connector away from flammable materials and humid, high-temperature environments to ensure long-term safe operation.
