  • Weight: Approx. 14 kg

  • Ambient Temp: 0°C to +40°C (operation)

3. Safety Precautions

  • High Voltage: Disconnect power before installation or maintenance. Wait 10 minutes for capacitor discharge.

  • Grounding: Connect the motor’s ground terminal to a reliable earth (resistance ≤4 Ω).

  • Mechanical Load: Do not apply excessive radial/axial loads to the shaft.

  • Rotating Parts: Keep hands and tools clear during operation.

  • Brake Use: The holding brake is for static holding only, not dynamic stopping.

4. Installation

4.1 Mechanical

  1. Mount on a rigid, flat surface.

  2. Tighten mounting bolts (M10) to 45–50 N·m.

  3. Align shaft coupling within 0.1 mm (radial) and 0.5° (angular).

  4. Ensure sufficient ventilation (50 mm clearance around the motor).

4.2 Electrical

  1. Power Wiring: Use shielded cables (2.5–4 mm²). Connect U/V/W/PE to corresponding terminals.

  2. Encoder Wiring: Use FANUC-specified shielded cable. Secure the connector tightly.

  3. Brake Wiring: Connect 24 V DC (±10%) to BRK+/BRK– (correct polarity).

5. Operation

  • Speed Range: 0–3,600 min⁻¹ (avoid continuous operation above 3,000 min⁻¹).

  • Torque Range: 0–9 N·m (continuous); up to 56 N·m (30 seconds max).

  • Startup: Jog at low speed (100–500 min⁻¹) to check for smooth rotation and no abnormal noise.

  • Monitor: During operation, monitor current, temperature, and vibration via the servo driver.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Monthly

  • Inspect for damage, oil leaks, or loose connections.

  • Clean the motor exterior with a dry cloth.

  • Check for abnormal noise or vibration.

6.2 Every 6 Months

  • Verify encoder and brake functions.

  • Measure insulation resistance (≥1 MΩ at 500 V DC).

  • Check bearing condition (no unusual noise).

6.3 Storage

  • Store in a dry place (-20°C to +60°C, ≤60% humidity).

  • Rotate the shaft 90° every 3 months to prevent bearing seizure.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Overcurrent: Check for short circuits, ground faults, or excessive load.

  • Encoder Error: Inspect cable/connector for damage or loose connection.

  • Overheating: Reduce load, improve ventilation, or check for bearing wear.

  • Abnormal Noise: Check bearing wear, shaft misalignment, or foreign matter.

8. Warranty

12 months from purchase date, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty excludes damage from improper use, overload, or accidents.
