Periodic maintenance: Check tightness of power terminals & CN1/CN2 connectors before startup; clean radiator dust every 3~6 months to prevent overheat shutdown
Factory parameter reset: After initialization, all parameters restore to locked Y8 OEM preset values, all temporary user modified data will be cleared completely.
7. Common Troubleshooting
Overheat alarm: Radiator dust clogging / poor cabinet ventilation / mechanical overload → clean cooling fins or reduce machine running load
Encoder fault: Loose CN2 connector, damaged feedback cable or mismatched non-original motor → check wiring and use matched incremental servo motor
Deceleration overvoltage: Add external braking resistor between P and BN terminals
Failed parameter writing: Normal Y8 OEM firmware lock design; parameter unlock requires official Yaskawa Y8 program rewrite.
