CACR-SR15BB1CS-Y8

CACR-SR15BB1CS-Y8 is OEM fixed-program customized AC Servopack from YASKAWA Yasnac VS800 full digital servo family, rated 1.5kW 200V class, exclusively factory configured for dedicated CNC machine tools and custom automation production equipment.

Description

1. Product Overview

CACR-SR15BB1CS-Y8 is OEM fixed-program customized AC Servopack from YASKAWA Yasnac VS800 full digital servo family, rated 1.5kW 200V class, exclusively factory configured for dedicated CNC machine tools and custom automation production equipment.
Model code definition: CACR stands for VS800 CNC feed-axis dedicated servo series. SR means the hardware is equipped with dual command input circuit for ±10VDC analog control signal and differential pulse position signal. 15 refers to rated matching motor power of 1.5kW. BB represents standard universal main control board and common I/O peripheral circuit layout. 1 denotes three-phase AC200~230V main power supply plus independent single-phase AC200V separated control power. CS means base version with pre-locked core parameter firmware. Y8 is secondary exclusive OEM customized firmware with fixed control logic and dedicated I/O assignment tailored for specific machine model.
This drive only runs normally with designated incremental encoder servo motors confirmed by Y8 factory program. Regular open-parameter model CACR-SR15BB1BM or standard CS version without Y8 marking cannot be directly replaced unless the drive is rewritten with original Y8 firmware by authorized manufacturer.

2. Electrical Specifications

Main circuit input adopts three-phase AC200V to 230V, compatible with 50Hz and 60Hz power grid, permissible input voltage fluctuation ranges minus fifteen percent to plus ten percent. Control power is independently fed by single-phase AC200~230V to isolate voltage fluctuation interference from main power loop.
Continuous rated output current is 11.7A RMS. Overload performance is defined as 150% rated load current sustaining continuous 60 seconds and 300% instantaneous peak overload limited within 3 seconds during motor startup. The drive uses IGBT sine-wave PWM modulation and maximum output frequency reaches 300Hz. Nominal DC bus working voltage is between DC280V and DC320V, terminals P and BN are reserved for external regenerative braking resistor connection for frequent deceleration and emergency stop application scenarios. Protection grade is IP20 and only allowed for vertical cabinet installation, unit net weight is approximately 3.3 kilograms. CN2 feedback port is designed only for specified incremental encoder without internal absolute encoder backup battery circuit.

3. Unique Custom Features of Y8 Version

Factory permanently locks default operation mode as ±10V analog speed control, pulse position control and torque control functions are disabled inside firmware and cannot be activated by onsite parameter modification. All core control parameters including position loop gain, speed loop PI setting, acceleration and deceleration constant and anti-resonance filter parameters are pre-calibrated and write-protected, automatic motor parameter auto-tuning function is partially restricted and full gain self-adjustment is unavailable for end users.
CN1 digital input and output pin definition follows fixed Y8 OEM specification, all I/O signal functions cannot be remapped or changed via parameter setup. Onboard RS422 serial communication only allows reading real-time operating status and historical fault records, uploading, downloading or rewriting locked customized parameters is blocked by firmware restriction. Encoder resolution is prefixed for matched original servo motor, connecting non-designated motor will trigger immediate encoder fault alarm.

4. Environmental and Installation Requirements

Allowable working ambient temperature ranges from zero degree Celsius to fifty-five degree Celsius, storage temperature is from minus twenty degree Celsius to seventy degree Celsius. Working environment humidity keeps five percent to eighty percent relative humidity with no dew condensation on internal components. Reduce continuous output load when installation altitude exceeds 1000 meters above sea level.
Applicable vibration condition is 10Hz to 55Hz with single vibration amplitude 0.5 millimeter. Reserve more than fifty millimeters empty space on top and bottom of servo unit inside control cabinet to ensure smooth heat dissipation. Before cabinet cover removal or connector plugging operation, disconnect all AC power and wait at least fifteen minutes for internal DC bus capacitor full discharge to avoid electric shock accident, powered hot plug of CN1 and CN2 connectors is strictly forbidden.

5. Terminal and Connector Description

R, S, T terminals connect three-phase main AC input power cable; U, V, W terminals link three-phase power wire leading to servo motor. P and BN terminals are used for external regenerative braking resistor wiring to consume regenerated energy during rapid deceleration.
CN1 is opto-isolated digital I/O connector with fixed Y8 OEM pin allocation without editable function mapping. CN2 is dedicated incremental encoder feedback port which only matches original designated incremental servo motor defined by Y8 program. Front panel seven-segment LED displays real-time running status and standard VS800 series fault codes directly.

6. Built-in Protection Functions

Complete multi-layer protection covers output overcurrent, DC bus overvoltage, DC bus undervoltage, drive internal overheat, encoder disconnection, motor continuous overload and main CPU abnormal operation protection. Latest ten groups of fault information can be permanently stored in internal memory without data loss after power cut or manual fault reset.
Internal dynamic brake circuit is integrated for low-load regular deceleration energy dissipation, external regenerative braking resistor must be installed between P and BN terminals under heavy cyclic load and frequent emergency stop working condition.

7. Replacement and Maintenance Instructions

Direct interchange is only available with identical full model CACR-SR15BB1CS-Y8. Standard BM general servo or other CS variants without Y8 suffix cannot substitute directly due to different locked firmware and fixed I/O definition, replacement needs professional factory to rewrite exclusive Y8 customized program.
Check fastening status of power wiring and CN1, CN2 connectors before every equipment startup, clean accumulated dust on radiator cooling fins every three to six months to prevent overheat shutdown caused by poor heat dissipation. Full factory parameter reset operation is strictly prohibited on Y8 model, reset will erase all OEM preset fixed parameters and cause abnormal machine operation.

8. Common Troubleshooting Guide

Overheat alarm is mainly caused by clogged radiator dust, poor cabinet ventilation or long-time continuous overload, solve the issue by cleaning cooling structure or reducing actual machine running load. Encoder fault occurs from loose CN2 connector, damaged feedback cable or mismatched non-original servo motor, inspect wiring condition and replace matched designated incremental motor accordingly.
Overvoltage alarm during quick deceleration can be eliminated by installing external braking resistor between P and BN terminals. Parameter write error alarm happens when users attempt to modify firmware-locked core parameters, which belongs to normal software protection instead of hardware fault. Overload protection triggers due to mechanical transmission jamming or excessive payload, check mechanical structure and lower equipment working load properly.

9. Fault Code Definition

1 stands for output overcurrent fault, 2 means main power circuit hardware abnormal, 3 refers to DC bus overvoltage protection triggered, 4 indicates DC bus undervoltage alarm, 5 is drive internal overheat protection, 6 represents encoder disconnection fault, 7 shows motor continuous overload protection, letter A means main CPU running exception, letter C signals external emergency stop input is activated.
