Description

1. PRODUCT OVERVIEW

CACR-SR05BE12G is Yaskawa CACR-SR series all-digital AC servo amplifier, rated power 0.5kW (0.67HP), dedicated customized variant 12G for Hurco CNC machine matching, fan forced cooling design, compatible with 200V grade USAREM/USASEM series servo motors, supports position/speed/torque three closed-loop control modes, widely used for CNC feed axis of Hurco machining center.

Model Code Definition

  • CACR: AC Servopack servo driver series

  • SR: Universal three-control-mode digital servo platform

  • 05: Rated power 500W

  • BE: DIN rail mounting, analog ±10V + pulse dual command input, built-in cooling fan

  • 12G: Exclusive custom program & IO definition for Hurco CNC system, fixed factory preset parameters

2. ELECTRICAL RATINGS

Power Specification

  • Main power input: Single/Three-phase AC200~230V, tolerance ±10%, 50/60Hz, input rated 5A

  • Control power: Independent single-phase AC200~230V

  • Rated continuous output current: 3.8Arms; peak output current:11.0Arms, 150% overload withstand for 3 seconds

  • Output: AC0~230V three-phase sine-wave PWM drive by IGBT module

Environment & Cooling

  • Cooling mode: Built-in fan forced air cooling (differentiated from natural cooling BC version)

  • Operating ambient temp: 0℃~40℃; storage temperature: -20℃~70℃

  • Ambient humidity: 20%~90%RH, non-condensing; protection grade IP20, indoor cabinet installation only

Feedback Configuration

CN2 encoder port supports 17-bit high-resolution absolute/incremental dual encoder, factory fixed matching Hurco original motor encoder specification (common 8192ppr/17bit); no arbitrary encoder parameter modification for 12G customized version.

3. TERMINAL & CONNECTOR DESCRIPTION

Main Circuit Terminal Block

  • R/S/T: Main AC power input terminals

  • U/V/W: Servo motor three-phase power output

  • P/N: External dynamic brake resistor connecting terminals

  • PE: Protective earth grounding terminal (mandatory grounding)

Control Connectors

  1. CN1 (I/O signal connector): Custom pin definition for Hurco CNC, includes servo enable, alarm reset, forward/reverse overtravel inhibit, ±10V analog speed command, line-driver/open-collector position pulse input, fault relay contact output. IO wiring follows original Hurco machine schematic, cannot replace with standard BE driver directly.

  2. CN2 (Encoder feedback connector): Connect motor encoder cable for rotor position closed-loop feedback, pin definition fixed for 12G matched motor.

4. INSTALLATION GUIDELINES

  1. Vertically mount on DIN rail inside control cabinet, reserve upper/lower clearance for fan heat dissipation, keep ≥5cm gap with transformers, contactors to avoid EMI interference.

  2. Separate high-power motor cable and low-signal encoder cable into different wiring ducts to prevent signal disturbance.

  3. Confirm cabinet ventilation is unobstructed to guarantee built-in fan normal heat exhaust.

5. BASIC PARAMETER SETUP (12G Factory Preloaded Default for Hurco CNC)

  • Pn00: Control mode select, factory preset =0 (Position mode for CNC positioning); 1=Speed mode;2=Torque mode

  • Pn01: Motor rated current, pre-set matched to Hurco original 0.5kW servo motor, no regular adjustment needed

  • Pn10: Position loop proportional gain; Pn11: Speed loop proportional gain; Pn12: Speed loop integral gain: factory optimized for Hurco mechanical structure, only fine-tune upon mechanical vibration or positioning offset

  • Pn20: Electronic gear ratio, fixed value according to Hurco CNC pitch parameter, core parameter for pulse scaling

Note: Multiple hidden exclusive parameters locked by factory for 12G customization, forbidden unauthorized modification.

6. ALARM CODE & TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Alarm 1 Overcurrent: U/V/W motor cable short circuit, motor winding damage or internal power module breakdown

  2. Alarm 2 Overvoltage: Input power over-range or insufficient external regenerative resistance for large inertia deceleration

  3. Alarm3 Overheat: Cabinet poor ventilation, blocked cooling fan or long-term continuous overload

  4. Alarm4 Encoder fault: CN2 loose wiring, broken encoder cable or encoder hardware damage

  5. Extra 12G exclusive CNC communication alarm: Abnormal signal between driver and Hurco CNC host, inspect CN1 command IO wiring consistency

7. SAFETY INSTRUCTION

  1. Cut off all main and control power, wait minimum 10 minutes for internal capacitor residual high voltage full discharge before opening drive cover for maintenance to avoid electric shock hazard.

  2. Never plug/unplug CN1/CN2 connectors under powered condition, will damage internal control and encoder circuit.

  3. After alarm triggering, eliminate fault completely before system restart; CACR-SR05BE12G cannot be substituted by non-12G standard servo driver for Hurco equipment.
