CACR-SR03SZ1SS-Y84

CACR-SR03SZ1SS-Y84 is a discontinued 0.3kW Yaskawa AC Servopack of classic CACR-SR series. It is OEM customized with factory pre-locked Y84 parameter firmware specially for Yasnac VS-800 CNC system, applied to feed-axis driving of custom CNC lathes and small machining centers, and paired with Yaskawa USAF series 300W incremental encoder servo motors. Original mass production has been discontinued, and this drive serves only as replacement spare part for maintenance of aging dedicated machine tools. The suffix Y84 refers to exclusive fixed parameters solidified at factory for specific machine specifications.

Description

1. Product Overview

2. Model Code Definition

CACR stands for general series code of Yaskawa AC servo amplifier. SR denotes universal control platform supporting speed, position and torque control via internal parameter configuration. 03 means rated output power of 0.3kW. SZ is dedicated 200V-class main power board with exclusive internal circuit design different from SB, BB and BY variants. 1SS represents S-type control PCB equipped with SS-spec incremental encoder interface circuit. Y84 is OEM customization code, all core servo operational parameters are pre-programmed and locked at factory.

3. Electrical Specifications

Main power supply: three-phase AC 200V~230V with +10%/-15% tolerance at 50Hz/60Hz; independent single-phase AC 200~230V for control circuit power input. Rated continuous output current is 3.0Arms and peak transient overload current reaches 8.5Arms for short-time acceleration and deceleration loads. Operating ambient temperature ranges 0℃~55℃; storage temperature ranges -20℃~85℃; working relative humidity ≤80%RH without condensation. IP20 protection grade allows installation only inside control cabinet and avoids surroundings with corrosive gas, heavy dust and oil mist. It adopts IGBT sine-wave PWM drive and receives ±10VDC analog command signal from Yasnac CNC controller.

4. Main Control Features

Three optional control modes: speed, position and torque control. Key parameters including servo loop gain and electronic gear ratio are locked by Y84 customized firmware; unauthorized parameter modification leads to abnormal motor running or axis positioning deviation. Onboard anti-interference circuit ensures stable incremental encoder signal transmission under complex industrial electromagnetic interference.
Complete protection functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, regenerative circuit fault, encoder signal loss and CPU malfunction protection. Single seven-segment digital display on front panel indicates real-time operating status and numeric fault codes; P and N terminals are reserved for external regenerative braking resistor connection.

5. Wiring Instruction

R, S, T terminals connect three-phase input power source; U, V, W terminals link matched USAF servo motor power cables; PE terminal must implement reliable protective grounding complying with local electrical safety codes; P/N terminals are used for external brake resistor wiring.
Control terminal block receives ±10VDC analog instruction from CNC system, digital input for servo enable and fault reset, and dry-contact relay output provides external fault alarm feedback. Special circular aviation connector follows SS-Y84 customized pin definition for incremental encoder wiring.

6. Installation and Commissioning

Mount the servo vertically inside electrical cabinet and reserve sufficient upper and bottom clearance for heat dissipation, keeping away from heat-generating components such as transformers and contactors. Complete full wiring inspection before power-on to prevent short-circuit damage. Pre-locked Y84 factory parameters enable direct replacement without extensive parameter tuning. Perform no-load jog test to confirm motor rotation direction and running stability prior to mechanical load connection.

7. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Cut off all input power and wait over 10 minutes for internal capacitor residual high voltage discharge before maintenance work to avoid electric shock hazard. Clean cooling vents and retighten loose terminal screws every three months regularly. Once fault alarm appears, check sequentially input power fluctuation, motor mechanical jamming, loose encoder wiring and insufficient cabinet heat dissipation; repeated power-on is forbidden before all faults are fully eliminated, and arbitrary revision of locked Y84 customized parameters is strictly prohibited.
