Description
1. Product Overview
CACR-SR03SZ1SS-Y215 is a 0.3kW discontinued Yaskawa AC Servopack within the classic CACR-SR series, OEM customized with factory-locked Y215 parameter firmware exclusively for Yasnac VS-800 CNC systems. It is used as feed axis drive for customized CNC lathes and small machining centers and matched with Yaskawa USAF series 300W incremental encoder servo motors. Original mass production has been discontinued, and this unit is only supplied as replacement spare part for maintenance of dedicated aging machine tools. The suffix Y215 stands for unique pre-set locked parameters developed for specific machine configurations.
2. Model Code Definition
CACR is the general series designation of Yaskawa AC servo amplifier. SR represents versatile control platform supporting speed, position and torque control through internal parameter configuration. 03 indicates rated output power of 0.3kW. SZ refers to dedicated 200V-class main power board with exclusive internal circuitry different from SB, BB and other power board variants. 1SS means S-type control board integrated with SS-spec incremental encoder interface circuit. Y215 is the OEM custom code, all core operational parameters are pre-programmed and locked at factory.
3. Electrical Specifications
Main power input is three-phase AC 200V~230V with +10%/-15% tolerance at 50Hz or 60Hz; independent single-phase AC 200~230V is applied for control circuit power supply. Rated continuous output current is 3.0Arms, and peak transient overload current reaches 8.5Arms to satisfy short-time acceleration and deceleration loads. Operating ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to 55℃, storage temperature ranges from -20℃ to 85℃, and working humidity is limited below 80%RH without condensation. With IP20 protection grade, the drive can only be mounted inside control cabinet and should be kept away from environments with corrosive gas, heavy dust and oil mist. It adopts IGBT sine-wave PWM drive and accepts standard ±10VDC analog command signal from Yasnac CNC controller.
4. Main Control Features
Three optional control modes including speed, position and torque control are available. Key parameters such as servo loop gain and electronic gear ratio are solidified and locked under Y215 customized program; unauthorized parameter modification will trigger abnormal motor performance or axis positioning deviation. Optimized anti-interference layout on control board ensures reliable incremental encoder signal transmission under severe industrial electromagnetic interference.Comprehensive protection functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, regenerative circuit fault, encoder signal loss and CPU abnormal shutdown protection. A single seven-segment digital display on front panel indicates real-time running status and numerical fault codes; terminals P and N are reserved for external regenerative braking resistor connection.
5. Wiring Instruction
R, S, T terminals connect three-phase input power; U, V, W terminals connect power cables of matched USAF servo motor; PE terminal must be reliably grounded in accordance with local electrical safety standards; P/N terminals are used for external brake resistor wiring.Control terminal block receives ±10VDC analog instruction from CNC equipment, digital input for servo enable and fault reset signals, and dry-contact relay output delivers external fault alarm feedback. Dedicated round aviation connector follows SS-Y215 customized pin definition for incremental encoder wiring.
6. Installation and Commissioning
Mount the servo vertically inside electrical cabinet and reserve sufficient top and bottom clearance for heat dissipation, avoiding installation near heat-generating components like transformers and contactors. Complete full wiring inspection before power-on to avoid short-circuit damage. Pre-locked Y215 factory parameters allow direct replacement without extensive parameter adjustment. Perform no-load jog test to verify motor rotation direction and running stability prior to mechanical load connection.
7. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Disconnect all power supply and wait more than 10 minutes for full residual high voltage discharge of internal capacitors before any maintenance work to prevent electric shock accidents. Clean cooling vents and retighten terminal screws every three months. Once fault alarm appears, inspect sequentially input power fluctuation, motor mechanical jamming, loose encoder wiring and insufficient heat dissipation; never repeatedly power on before all faults are completely eliminated, and arbitrary alteration of locked Y215 customized parameters is strictly prohibited.
