CACR-SR03BC1CS-Y159

CACR-SR03BC1CS-Y159 is a Japan-originated Yaskawa AC Servopack in the classic CACR-SR series with rated power of 0.3kW. It is a factory-customized servo drive specially designed to match Yasnac VS-800 CNC system and designated machine tools marked by Y159 customization code. Mainly applied to feed axis driving of special customized CNC lathes and small machining centers, this model has stopped original mass production and is mostly used as replacement spare part for old equipment maintenance. It is matched exclusively with Yaskawa USAM and USAF series 300W incremental encoder servo motors with fixed customized encoder definition.

Description

1. Product Overview

2. Model Code Explanation

CACR stands for Yaskawa general series code of AC servo amplifier. SR refers to basic speed control platform which supports position and torque control by parameter setup. 03 means rated output power 0.3kW. BC1 represents power board specification with 200V input grade and unique main circuit layout different from BB1 type. CS indicates customized control board equipped with dedicated encoder signal processing circuit and fixed signal definition. Y159 is exclusive OEM customization code containing pre-locked internal parameters, dedicated I/O logic and CNC analog command matching program for specific machine model.

3. Electrical Specifications

Main power input is three-phase AC 200V~230V with tolerance +10%/-15% at 50Hz or 60Hz. Control circuit uses separate single-phase AC 200~230V power supply. Continuous rated output current is 3.0Arms and peak transient overload current reaches 8.5Arms for frequent acceleration and deceleration.
Operating ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to 55℃, storage temperature from -20℃ to 85℃. Allowable working humidity is below 80%RH without condensation. Protection grade is IP20 for cabinet indoor installation only; environments with corrosive gas, heavy dust or oil mist are forbidden. The drive adopts IGBT sine-wave PWM driving technology for stable motor running.

4. Core Functions

Three control modes including speed, position and torque control are available, while core parameters are preset and locked by Y159 factory program to ensure matching with original CNC host, arbitrary parameter revision is prohibited. CS-type control board has optimized anti-interference design for encoder signal transmission to adapt complicated industrial field environment.
Complete protection functions are integrated: overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, regenerative circuit error, encoder signal missing and CPU fault protection. Single 7-segment digital display on front panel shows running status and numeric fault codes for quick maintenance. P and N terminals are reserved for external regenerative braking resistor connection for high start-stop application scenarios.

5. Wiring Instruction

R, S, T terminals connect three-phase input power; U, V, W connect three power lines of matched servo motor; PE terminal must be reliably connected to equipment protective ground according to local electrical codes; P and N terminals are used for external brake resistor wiring.
Control terminals receive ±10VDC analog command from Yasnac CNC system, with digital input pins for servo enable and fault reset signal, dry contact relay output for external alarm feedback. Special circular connector is configured for encoder wiring following CS plus Y159 customized pin standard.

6. Installation and Commissioning

Mount the servo vertically inside control cabinet, keep enough upper and bottom clearance for heat dissipation and avoid installation close to heat-generating parts such as transformers and contactors. Multiple drives installed together need forced cooling air.
Check all power and control wiring thoroughly before power-on to prevent short circuit. Y159 customized parameters are solidified at factory so no full parameter setting is needed after regular replacement. Complete no-load jog test to check rotation direction and operating stability before connecting mechanical load formally.

7. Daily Maintenance & Fault Handling

Cut off main power and wait at least 10 minutes for capacitor residual voltage discharge before any disassembly or maintenance work to avoid electric shock risk. Regularly clean cooling vent dust and fasten terminal screws quarterly to prevent bad contact from long-term vibration.
Once fault code appears, inspect in sequence: unstable input voltage, motor mechanical stuck, loose encoder wiring and insufficient heat dissipation. Do not restart repeatedly before troubleshooting root failure, forbidden to modify locked Y159 customized internal program randomly.
