Description
1. Product Overview
CACR-SR01AY1SR is a discontinued analog SERVOPACK manufactured by Yaskawa Electric. It serves as OEM customized servo amplifier exclusively for Yasnac VS-800 CNC machine feed axes with rated output power of 100W (0.1kW). Original mass production has been terminated, and only used or refurbished units are available for aftermarket equipment maintenance and axis replacement.
Model code breakdown:CACR-SR refers to the classic analog SERVOPACK platform designed for Yasnac VS series numerical control equipment; 01 stands for 100W output rating; A denotes standard control PCB layout; Y indicates factory OEM customization including revised internal firmware, pre-set fixed parameters and modified CN1 I/O pin definition for dedicated machine configuration; 1 represents differential line-driver pulse train input for closed-loop position command; S means customized internal power circuit and terminal specifications; R is the code for standard housing and basic internal wiring arrangement.
2. Electrical Specifications
Rated input power accepts single-phase or three-phase AC200V within operating range AC180V~AC230V at 50/60Hz. It is designed to work with USAM-01 and USAF-01 100W servo motors fitted with 1500PPR incremental encoders. The drive executes three-loop closed-loop control covering current loop, speed loop and position loop, receiving position commands in differential pulse format transmitted from Yasnac VS-800 main control unit.
3. Environmental Requirements
Allowable operating ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to +60℃, while storage temperature falls between -20℃ and +70℃. Relative working humidity shall not exceed 80% without condensation, and maximum permitted installation altitude is 1000 meters above sea level. The unit carries IP20 protection rating and must be installed inside closed electrical cabinets only.
4. Terminal and Connector Description
R and S terminals are for main AC power input, whereas U, V and W terminals connect to three-phase servo motor windings. Extra spare terminals are reserved for external dynamic braking resistor installation when required. CN1 is a 50-pin control connector responsible for pulse command input, servo enable signal, ready status output, fault alarm feedback and interlock control signals; pin assignment of CN1 is customized due to Y modification and differs from standard non-Y servo drives. CN2 is a 20-pin dedicated connector used for encoder wiring and position feedback transmission. All power terminals adopt screw-type fixed connection without quick plug structure.
5. Startup and Parameter Adjustment
Complete full wiring inspection and short-circuit confirmation before power application. After power-on, the single-digit seven-segment LED on front panel shows standby status if no fault exists. All internal Cn-series parameters are pre-configured at factory for matched Yasnac VS-800 machine due to OEM Y customization. Parameter modification should only be performed by qualified maintenance technicians; improper setup may trigger motor runaway, overload or servo lock faults. Cut off power for no less than three minutes after parameter change to secure data saving in onboard memory chip. Jog function via front panel buttons supports no-load forward and reverse rotation test to check motor running smoothness and abnormal noise or vibration.
6. Protection Functions and Fault Diagnosis
Built-in protection includes overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, continuous overload, overheat and encoder disconnection protection. The drive immediately cuts power output once any protection is activated and displays corresponding fault code on front LED. Code 1 means overcurrent, requiring check on motor winding short, power module breakdown or wrong wiring; Code 2 indicates abnormal input voltage fluctuation; Code A stands for encoder circuit break; Code F refers to drive overheat caused by blocked heat sink or faulty cooling fan; Code C represents abnormal control circuit failure. Remove fault triggers then cut supply for over 30 seconds to complete fault reset before restart.
7. Maintenance and Replacement Notice
Clean heat sink dust and fasten terminal screws every three months during regular maintenance, and periodically inspect cooling fan working condition. High residual voltage remains inside internal main circuit capacitors after power cut; wait for minimum 10 minutes before opening casing for internal repair. Direct replacement with standard non-Y coded CACR-SR models is forbidden, as mismatched I/O definition and factory preset parameters will lead to CNC signal failure and irregular axis movement. Same Y-suffix variant is mandatory for interchange replacement.
8. Application Scope
This servo amplifier is originally equipped as feed axis drive for specially customized Yasnac VS-800 CNC lathes and small machining centers. It cannot be directly matched with non-Yasnac CNC systems without circuit rework and full parameter recalibration.
