Description

Product Overview

CACR-PR15BCAF is a rack-mounted servo driver of Yaskawa M-series with rated output power of 1.5kW. It is powered by three-phase AC 200V to 230V input. This unit supports closed-loop position control, speed control and torque control, and is compatible with Yaskawa USAEMD, USAFED series servo motors equipped with incremental encoders. The protection rating is IP20 and the driver is restricted to installation inside electrical cabinets for indoor application only.

Environmental Specifications

The permissible operating ambient temperature is 0°C to 40°C, while storage temperature ranges from -20°C to 65°C. Relative working humidity shall be maintained between 5% and 90% without dew formation. The rated installation altitude is below 1000 meters above sea level; power derating is required if the unit is operated at higher altitudes.

Main Power Terminal Description

Terminals R, S and T are designed for three-phase main AC power input. Terminals U, V and W connect to the main power leads of the matched servo motor. Positive and negative terminals are reserved for connecting external regenerative braking resistor. PE terminal needs solid connection to protective earth ground.

Control Connector Functions

CN1 is the encoder dedicated connector for wiring motor incremental encoder signals including phase A, phase B, phase Z and 5VDC encoder power supply. CN2 is the general-purpose I/O connector, which receives external pulse position commands, servo enable signals, alarm reset signals and analog speed or torque reference inputs, as well as outputting fault alarm signals. CN3 is the serial communication port supporting RS232 and RS485 communication; users can connect to host computer and Yaskawa SigmaWin software to read and edit internal drive parameters.

Installation and Operation Precautions

Arrange power cables and control signal cables separately to prevent electromagnetic interference. Verify all wiring connections and earthing condition before energizing the driver. Complete parameter configuration matching the paired motor before no-load test run. In case of alarm codes, check corresponding wiring faults, load issues or incorrect parameter settings according to error information.
