CIMR-M5N2011 Yaskawa VS-626M5 CNC Spindle Drive
CIMR-M5N2011 belongs to discontinued Yaskawa VS-626M5 dedicated spindle inverter series for CNC machine tools, specially designed for direct digital bus connection with original Japanese CNC control systems such as Fanuc and Yaskawa NC systems. It works with matched MR5 series common rectifier unit via shared DC bus power supply and is widely used for maintenance replacement of legacy vertical machining centers, milling machines and precision grinders as original production has been stopped.
Description
1. Product Overview
2. Model Code Definition
CIMR stands for standard Yaskawa inverter prefix; M5 indicates VS-626M5 spindle exclusive series; N represents NC digital bus control version for CNC system communication; digit 2 means 200V DC bus voltage grade; 011 corresponds to rated applicable spindle motor power of 11kW.
3. Electrical Specifications
This drive receives DC input ranging from DC270V to DC325V from external MR5 rectifier module instead of direct AC mains input. Its rated output capacity is 16kVA with rated output current 45A, matched for 11kW three-phase high-speed spindle motor. Adjustable three-phase AC output voltage covers 0~230V and maximum output frequency reaches 400Hz to satisfy high-speed cutting requirement of machine tool spindle. It adopts full closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback via CN1 connector, supporting 150% rated current overload for continuous 60 seconds to handle heavy intermittent cutting load. Built-in brake chopper supports external braking resistor wiring for fast spindle deceleration and stop. Complete protective functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, output short-circuit and motor overload protection.
4. Control Features
As N-type NC dedicated bus model, the drive receives speed and operation commands through proprietary CNC digital bus communication directly from numerical control unit, without primary analog signal control. Auxiliary analog 0~10V voltage, 4~20mA current and multi-step speed terminal control are reserved as backup mode for emergency debugging. Closed-loop speed regulation precision is controlled within ±0.1% rated rotating speed to guarantee high-precision machining performance.
5. Installation & Environmental Specifications
Open frame construction with IP00 protection grade, equipped with built-in cooling fan for forced air cooling and must be installed inside equipment control cabinet. Rated working ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to 50℃, relative humidity 20%~80% non-condensing, applicable installation altitude below 1000 meters above sea level.
6. Application Scope
Mainly applied for spindle driving of aged imported Japanese CNC machining centers, vertical milling machines and precision surface grinders, only available with refurbished or second-hand stock for equipment overhaul and spare part replacement at present.
