1. Product Overview

CIMR-HB4A0018FBA belongs to Yaskawa H1000 high-performance heavy-duty vector inverter series, engineered for heavy-load industrial equipment including hoisting machinery, extruders, injection molding machines and heavy conveying lines. It delivers outstanding low-speed torque output and strong overload endurance to cope with frequent start-stop and fluctuating heavy load conditions.

2. Model Definition

CIMR is the unified model prefix for Yaskawa inverters. HB denotes H1000 heavy-duty series; figure 4 represents three-phase AC380V~480V voltage grade; 0018 stands for rated current specification; F means NEMA Type1 cabinet-mounted structure with IP20 protection; BA refers to standard general environment configuration.

3. Electrical Rating Parameters

For HD heavy-duty application: matched motor power is 5.5kW with rated output current 18A, supporting 150% overload operation for continuous 60 seconds. For ND normal-duty condition, it fits 7.5kW motor with 120% overload capacity for 60 seconds. Input power is three-phase AC380V~480V, 50/60Hz; output adjustable voltage ranges from 0V to 480V and maximum output frequency can reach 400Hz. This drive is equipped with built-in braking transistor to connect external braking resistor for fast stopping and rapid deceleration. It applies open-loop and closed-loop flux vector control, generating 150% rated torque at low speed and supporting both asynchronous induction motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors. Complete protection functions cover overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, input phase loss and output ground fault protection.

4. Functional & Communication Features

MEMOBUS Modbus-RTU communication interface is equipped as standard configuration. Optional expansion cards are available to realize Profibus, CC-Link and DeviceNet fieldbus communication connection. It is integrated with STO safety stop function conforming to international industrial safety standards, together with automatic motor parameter auto-tuning, speed searching and anti-stall functions to secure stable operation under variable heavy loads.

5. Installation & Environmental Specification

Protection level is IP20, only allowed for indoor control cabinet installation with built-in forced cooling fan. Working ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to 50℃; relative working humidity keeps 20%~80% without dew condensation; rated applicable installation altitude is below 1000 meters without power derating.
