Description

1. Product Brief Introduction

801429-4RE is original regenerative power module belonging to RELIANCE MaxPak Plus series DC spindle drive, specially configured for 75HP heavy-duty DC spindle motor closed-loop speed control. This integrated assembly combines thyristor rectifier power stack, regenerative feedback circuit and standard control logic board with industrial-grade power semiconductor components and flame retardant PCB substrate, complying with original factory mechanical and electrical design standards. It serves as direct replacement spare part for outdated regenerative spindle drive units during on-site equipment overhaul and cabinet retrofit.

2. Model Definition

801429 is unified base part number for full MaxPak Plus spindle drive core modules, fixing universal circuit layout and overall installation dimension of the whole product series.
4 stands for power grade code corresponding to rated 75HP output specification, matched with three-phase 480VAC industrial input power grid.
RE is regenerative dedicated suffix, meaning built-in full four-quadrant energy feedback circuit, distinguishing from non-regenerative SC,SD,VE,VF ordinary variants of identical base model.

3. Technical Specifications

Rated input adopts three-phase 480VAC, applicable working frequency covers 48Hz to 62Hz. Continuous rated output power supports steady operation of 75HP DC spindle motor, with adjustable armature and field winding DC voltage within factory preset calibration range. Continuous operating ambient temperature ranges from -10℃ to +65℃, instantaneous peak working temperature shall not go beyond 75℃. Allowable working relative humidity is 5%~95% under non-condensing environment to avoid insulation deterioration and terminal corrosion. All internal core components complete high-low temperature aging and vibration screening test to adapt frequent start-stop, dynamic load variation and regenerative energy feedback working condition of heavy industrial equipment.

4. Interface and Communication Configuration

The module is equipped with two types of screw hard-wiring terminals only. Large-caliber power terminals are used for three-phase AC incoming wiring, DC armature output, field winding output and regenerative feedback loop wiring. Small signal terminals are reserved for external tachometer speed feedback, equipment interlock and auxiliary control signal access. No onboard Modbus, Profibus or DeviceNet fieldbus communication interfaces are reserved, all power and control signals rely on hard wiring per original RELIANCE wiring diagram, terminal layout perfectly fits standard MaxPak Plus drive cabinet mounting space.

5. Core Functions

It realizes three-phase AC to variable DC phase-controlled rectification via thyristor to complete closed-loop variable speed regulation of matched DC spindle motor with feedback signal processing. Exclusive RE regenerative circuit feeds back motor braking surplus energy back to input AC power grid to lower energy consumption and reduce braking heat generation. Built-in multi-stage overvoltage and overcurrent protection circuit suppresses grid surge and abnormal load impact to protect internal power thyristors from breakdown. Internal analog filtering unit restrains field electromagnetic interference to guarantee stable four-quadrant switching and closed-loop speed precision.

6. Application Scenarios

Mainly applied in maintenance replacement and system upgrade of regenerative MaxPak Plus spindle drives installed on large CNC main spindle, metallurgical rolling mill transmission, heavy papermaking main drive and high-power textile spinning equipment. Suitable for indoor industrial cabinet installation of legacy DC drive system which retains original cabinet structure without overall equipment transformation.

7. Operation and Maintenance Instructions

Completely cut off three-phase main power before disassembly or wiring installation, check all power and signal terminals for looseness, oxidation and dust accumulation and clean contaminants to ensure stable wiring contact. Execute wiring strictly following factory schematic, prohibit wrong phase sequence or reverse polarity connection to prevent permanent damage of internal regenerative power components. During periodic maintenance, power off regularly and blow internal accumulated dust with dry compressed air to prevent insulation drop and short-circuit faults caused by dust deposit. Continuously monitor full-load operating temperature and stop equipment for fault inspection once abnormal overheating or unstable speed fluctuation appears. Replace whole module directly upon internal circuit failure; discrete component field repair is not recommended. Spare modules should be stored in constant-temperature dry warehouse away from corrosive gas and strong mechanical shock.
