ABB 3BHE020357P201 (GFD212A) original ABB signal acquisition control board

This is original ABB signal acquisition control board marked with part code GFD212A, designed and produced in Sweden for UNITROL series generator excitation control cabinet. The whole PCB is coated with three-proof insulating paint against damp, dust and corrosive gas inside control cabinet. It is the matching core accessory of 3BHE020356R0101, adopting standard plug-in card structure to fit UNITROL rack backplane bus, used for auxiliary power detection and multi-channel digital switching signal collection of excitation system. The product has been officially discontinued by ABB original factory.

Description

1.Product Brief Introduction

This is original ABB signal acquisition control board marked with part code GFD212A, designed and produced in Sweden for UNITROL series generator excitation control cabinet. The whole PCB is coated with three-proof insulating paint against damp, dust and corrosive gas inside control cabinet. It is the matching core accessory of 3BHE020356R0101, adopting standard plug-in card structure to fit UNITROL rack backplane bus, used for auxiliary power detection and multi-channel digital switching signal collection of excitation system. The product has been officially discontinued by ABB original factory.

2.Model Definition Explanation

3BHE is unified prefix of ABB special PCB spare parts for excitation and medium voltage drive control products.
020357 is exclusive internal hardware development serial number from ABB R&D department for GFD212A hardware platform.
P201 stands for factory customized assembled version with integrated bottom base housing, different from bare board R-series revision specification.
GFD212A is the ABB commercial type name of this whole assembled module.

3.Technical Specifications

Rated working auxiliary power DC24V±10%, typical overall power consumption below 4.5W. Operating ambient temperature range -25℃~+70℃, storage temperature -40℃~+85℃, applicable humidity 5%RH~95RH without condensation. Each input channel adopts optocoupler isolation, isolation withstand voltage up to 1000VAC between field side and internal control circuit, signal response time ≤1ms. Module protection grade IP20 for cabinet inner installation, conforms to IEC61000 EMC anti-interference specification, net weight approx 1.0kg.

4.Interface and Communication Configuration

Rear gold finger connector connects rack internal backplane bus to upload collected power status and interlock switching signal to main excitation control board. Front side equips terminal wiring terminals for external auxiliary power sampling wiring and field interlock auxiliary contact wiring. Multiple LED indicator lights are arranged on board to display module power-on status and each input channel working state. Only factory test reserved pads are reserved on PCB for offline calibration, no external user communication bus port available.

5.Core Functions

Real-time collect multi-path cabinet auxiliary AC/DC power supply voltage signals and convert into digital state for main controller power fault judgment. Collect field digital signals including breaker auxiliary contact position, cooling fan running feedback and system protection interlock switch signals via optoelectronic isolation. Built-in hardware self-diagnosis function monitors open-circuit and short-circuit fault of each input loop, automatically upload fault alarm code to master control unit once abnormal circuit is detected.

6.Application Scenarios

Mainly configured inside UNITROL1000 and UNITROL6000 excitation cabinets of thermal power, hydropower, gas power and biomass power plant synchronous generator sets. Also applied to excitation control cabinet of large synchronous motor for cement rotary kiln, mine main exhaust fan and petrochemical high-pressure compressor unit.

7.Operation and Maintenance Instructions

Cut off total cabinet power supply before disassembly or regular maintenance, keep power off more than 30 minutes to release residual capacitance electricity to avoid static damage to onboard precision chips. Quarterly maintenance requires cleaning PCB surface and gold finger contact dust with dry soft brush and fastening all external wiring terminals. When system reports channel loss or power supply abnormal alarm, inspect field external wiring preferentially before module replacement. Disassembling original components and modifying internal circuit without official authorization is prohibited; replace full set module when permanent hardware damage is confirmed.
