RELIANCE 61C-346 remote I/O bus master adapter card
61C-346 is a remote I/O bus master adapter card belonging to Reliance AutoMax 61C series control system. It acts as the communication bridge between main rack backplane bus and external distributed field I/O rails, responsible for transmitting CPU control commands down to field I/O modules and collecting field digital and analog signals to upper master controller. Original formal production has been discontinued, and available products on market include unused original surplus stock and fully inspected refurbished modules for maintenance replacement and technical upgrading of legacy papermaking, metallurgy and textile automation control equipment.
Description
Product Introduction
61C-346 is a remote I/O bus master adapter card belonging to Reliance AutoMax 61C series control system. It acts as the communication bridge between main rack backplane bus and external distributed field I/O rails, responsible for transmitting CPU control commands down to field I/O modules and collecting field digital and analog signals to upper master controller. Original formal production has been discontinued, and available products on market include unused original surplus stock and fully inspected refurbished modules for maintenance replacement and technical upgrading of legacy papermaking, metallurgy and textile automation control equipment.
Model Definition
61C is the unified series code for Reliance AutoMax remote I/O adapter product family. The figure 346 defines fixed internal communication parameter, power circuit layout and front terminal definition of this specific model, differing from 61C-345 in drive load capacity and bus configuration while sharing identical single-width rack installation dimension.
Technical Specifications
Rated input power supports dual specification of 115VAC and 230VAC at 50/60Hz with maximum rated input current of 0.65A. A built-in replaceable fuse is installed for overcurrent protection of field rail power loop. Continuous working ambient temperature ranges from -20℃ to +60℃, storage temperature spans from -40℃ to +85℃, and applicable working relative humidity is 5%~95% under non-condensing environment. The module follows standard single-width AutoMax plug-in size and passes original factory high voltage insulation withstand test.
Interface and Communication Configuration
Special multi-pin terminal blocks on front panel are used for wiring connection of external field remote I/O rail bus and auxiliary power. Rear golden finger connector is inserted into AutoMax main rack slot to complete bidirectional data interaction with rack CPU via proprietary AutoMax backplane bus protocol. Multiple LED indicator lamps on front panel separately display power status, running communication state and field rail fault alarm information. No factory pre-installed Modbus or RS485 universal external communication port.
Core Functions
Convert internal main rack backplane bus signal into dedicated remote rail bus signal to deliver control instructions from CPU to distributed field I/O modules. Cyclically collect all DI, DO and analog sampled data uploaded from connected field rails and feed back integrated data to upper control unit. Real-time monitor power supply and communication link status of matched field I/O rails, trigger corresponding fault indicator and transmit abnormal alarm message to main controller once overload, short circuit or communication interruption occurs. Built-in isolation protection circuit cuts off abnormal surge from field side to avoid damage to core control components inside main rack.
Application Scenarios
Fully compatible with Reliance AutoMate series field I/O modules for decentralized layout of industrial automation control system. Widely used for on-site interlock signal collection of papermaking auxiliary equipment, limit switch detection of metallurgical conveying equipment, scattered I/O control of textile production lines, as well as spare replacement for outdated printing and packaging machinery original control cabinets.
Operation and Maintenance Instructions
Cut off total AC input power of control rack and wait no less than 20 minutes for complete residual charge release of internal capacitors before module disassembly or installation. Implement quarterly routine maintenance to check front terminal tightness and pin oxidation condition, and remove accumulated dust inside module with dry low-pressure compressed air. Avoid long-term overloaded access of field I/O rails beyond rated load limit. In case of field rail communication or power failure, inspect external wiring and peripheral I/O modules firstly, replace the whole 61C-346 module only after eliminating all peripheral abnormal faults.
