Description

Product Introduction

57C-463 is an analog input module belonging to Reliance AutoMax rack-based distributed control system. It is designed to collect standard industry analog signals from field sensors and convert analog variable into digital data for AutoMax main processor processing. This plug-in module is installed on AutoMax system backplane together with CPU and other functional cards to constitute complete closed-loop process control units for temperature, pressure and flow monitoring. Original factory production has been discontinued, and this item is mainly supplied as spare replacement component for aging industrial control cabinet maintenance and technical renovation projects.

Model Definition

57C is the unified series coding for all plug-in functional modules of Reliance AutoMax control platform. 463 is the exclusive fixed part number assigned for multi-channel analog input card. If alphabet suffix such as A appears behind the model number, it represents revised hardware version with optimized signal conditioning circuit and improved noise suppression design compared to original standard specification.

Technical Specifications

The module obtains 5VDC working power from rack backplane with allowable input voltage ranging from 4.75VDC to 5.25VDC. It supports multiple common industrial analog input signal types including 4-20mA current signal and 0-10VDC voltage signal. Each channel adopts independent isolated signal conditioning circuit to reduce cross-channel interference. Operating ambient temperature ranges from 0 degree Celsius to 55 degree Celsius, storage temperature covers minus 25 degree Celsius to 70 degree Celsius, applicable relative humidity is kept between 5 percent and 95 percent without condensation. Built-in overvoltage and overcurrent protection circuit prevents component damage caused by field wiring misconnection or instantaneous surge voltage. Onboard hardware self-check circuit conducts periodic internal circuit diagnosis during regular operation.

Interface and Communication Configuration

Rear gold finger connector connects AutoMax proprietary backplane bus to transmit converted digital sampled data to rack main CPU and receive configuration parameters from processor. Front terminal block is used for field sensor wiring access of each analog input channel, corresponding channel status indicator lamps are arranged beside wiring terminals to reflect channel power and signal connection status. All sampled digital data follows AutoMax internal bus communication protocol for high-speed cyclic data uploading to main control unit, no independent external fieldbus communication interface is reserved on this analog input module.

Core Functions

It receives continuous analog signals transmitted from on-site temperature transmitters, pressure sensors and flow transducers, finishes signal filtering, amplification and isolation processing before analog-to-digital conversion. Converted digital values are uploaded cyclically to AutoMax main processor for logic calculation, closed-loop regulation and real-time process monitoring. It monitors abnormal signal state of each channel continuously, triggers channel fault flag and marks corresponding indicator light once open circuit, short circuit or over-range input happens. It stores user-defined channel range configuration parameters after power off to avoid repeated parameter setup after short-term power interruption.

Application Scenarios

This module is widely deployed on legacy AutoMax control cabinets of metallurgical rolling equipment, chemical auxiliary process production lines, cement manufacturing devices and papermaking process control systems for continuous process variable collection. It is commonly used for analog signal acquisition of pump and fan closed-loop regulation cabinets in water treatment industry, as well as transformation projects of traditional textile drying oven and heating furnace automatic temperature control equipment.

Operation and Maintenance Instructions

Cut off entire rack power supply before installation and field wiring, inspect circuit board pins for bending, component shedding or corrosion damage, insert module into designated empty slot and lock front fixed buckle tightly against vibration induced poor contact. Complete channel signal type and range parameter configuration via upper computer programming software after installation, conduct no-load signal simulation test to verify normal data collection of each channel before formal field connection. Carry out regular maintenance under power-off state, clear accumulated dust on module surface and front wiring terminals with dry compressed air. Hot plugging under powered rack condition is strictly forbidden to avoid backplane circuit short-circuit damage. When frequent channel abnormal alarm appears without field equipment failure, isolate power supply and deliver module to professional maintenance for circuit inspection, unauthorized disassembly of original sealed internal circuit is prohibited.
