SGME-04AF12
SGME-04AF12 is a 400W 200V-class AC servo motor of Yaskawa Σ-II series with incremental encoder. Its matched servo drive model is SGDM-04ADA.
Description
Basic Technical Specifications
Model designation is SGME-04AF12 with rated output power of 400W and rated input voltage at AC200V. The rated working current is 2.6A while rated rotational speed reaches 3000 revolutions per minute and rated torque is 1.27 N·m. Equipped with 1024PPR incremental rotary encoder, the motor adopts straight smooth shaft without key structure and comes without built-in electromagnetic brake. It applies Class B insulation grade and totally enclosed self-cooled structure. The allowable working ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to 40℃, working humidity keeps between 20% to 80% relative humidity without dew condensation. It can endure AC1500V voltage withstand test for one minute and insulation resistance is no less than 10 megaohms under 500VDC detection.
Safety Precautions
WARNING
Cut off all power supply before wiring, equipment installation or maintenance work to prevent electric shock and hardware damage. Never directly connect commercial alternating current to motor winding terminals.
CAUTION
This servo motor can only be matched with Σ-II series SGDM-04ADA driver, random matching with drivers of other product series is forbidden. Do not install and operate the unit in surroundings filled with flammable gas, corrosive gas, heavy dust or splashing liquid. Long-time running with mechanical load exceeding rated torque is prohibited. The installation site shall be free from severe vibration and direct sunlight with smooth ventilation condition.
Wiring Instruction
For motor power terminals marked U, V and W, connect these three terminals to main circuit power output ports of matched SGDM servo driver respectively. PE terminal serves as protective grounding point which requires reliable connection to equipment earth. For encoder connection, insert encoder plug into CN2 encoder socket on servo driver. Shielded dedicated cable must be used for encoder wiring and the cable length should not exceed 20 meters. Incorrect pin connection of encoder will trigger encoder fault alarm on driver side.
Installation Guide
The motor is fixed via standard IEC flange mounting structure. When connecting motor output shaft with load through coupling, the concentricity error shall be controlled within 0.1 millimeter to avoid excessive radial or axial pulling force acting on motor shaft. Fasten all mounting bolts with specified tightening torque to prevent loose during high speed running.
Commissioning Steps
Check correctness of power wiring and encoder wiring completely before powering up the driver. After power-on, set corresponding motor model parameter inside servo driver according to SGME-04AF12 400W specification. Complete automatic inertia identification auto-tuning function of driver. Switch driver into JOG jogging mode to conduct forward and backward trial rotation, confirm no abnormal noise and vibration. Put equipment into formal operation after no alarm occurs during trial run.
Troubleshooting
A.OV alarm stands for DC bus overvoltage, check input power supply voltage value for troubleshooting.A.OC alarm indicates output overcurrent, inspect possible short circuit of U/V/W wiring or damage of internal motor winding.A.CK alarm refers to encoder communication failure, check loose contact or broken core inside encoder connecting cable.A.OT alarm means motor overheat fault, optimize equipment ventilation environment and reduce long-term overload operation.
