SGDC-15AJA is a standard general-purpose 1.5kW common DC-bus servo drive from Yaskawa discontinued Sigma-I SGDC series, designed for multi-axis shared DC bus automation systems without OEM customized firmware lock.
  • SGDC: Compact shared DC-bus servo series (different from AC input SGDB series)

  • 15: Rated output power 1.5kW

  • A: Dual command hardware supporting pulse position input and ±10VDC analog speed/torque input

  • J: Internal circuit optimized for common DC-bus power supply

  • A: Standard universal factory firmware, all parameters fully adjustable without fixed OEM preset values

Matching motor: SGMG-15A series 1.5kW, 200V-class servo motor, compatible with 8192P/R incremental encoder and battery-backed absolute encoder.

2. Electrical Ratings

  • Main power input: Shared DC bus DC280~330V; separate terminal for independent control auxiliary power supply

  • Rated continuous output: 1.5kW, 3-phase AC 0~230V PWM output, 300% short-time overload capacity for instant startup and shock load

  • Standard built-in dynamic braking circuit; external brake resistor can be equipped under frequent high-speed deceleration conditions.

3. Control Modes & Interfaces

Three adjustable control modes via parameter setting:
  1. Pulse position control: Accept open-collector or differential line driver pulse (CW/CCW dual pulse / A/B quadrature pulse); electronic gear ratio fully configurable.

  2. Analog speed/torque control: Receives external ±10VDC analog reference; gain and offset parameters are fully editable.

  3. MECHATROLINK-I hardware reserved on PCB; bus function can be enabled by parameter setup as required.

  • CN1: Standard universal I/O terminals including Servo ON, fault reset, positioning complete output, dry-contact alarm relay output with standard pin definition.

  • CN2: Dedicated port for incremental / absolute encoder connection.

  • RS232 port for SigmaWin software to upload/download parameters, monitor real-time operation and read historical fault data.

4. Protection Functions

Overcurrent, DC bus overvoltage/undervoltage, module overheat, overload protection, encoder disconnection protection, dynamic brake overheat and abnormal input voltage protection. Fault codes are displayed on front LED display, with independent dry-contact alarm output for machine interlock stop.

5. Environmental & Mechanical Specification

  • Protection grade: IP20, cabinet installation by fixing bolts only, DIN rail mounting unavailable.

  • Cooling: Natural convection cooling without built-in fan.

  • Operating temperature: 0℃~+55℃ non-condensing; storage temperature: -20℃~+85℃; relative humidity:10%~90%RH without dew.

  • Certified with CE industrial safety standard.

6. Function & Replacement Instruction

Supports automatic inertia identification and auto gain tuning; front-panel JOG function allows manual forward/reverse motor test without external controller; fault history saved in internal memory for troubleshooting.
Standard SGDC-15AJA can be directly interchanged with identical standard models; cannot directly replace Y-suffix customized variants with modified firmware and I/O definition.
Typical applications: Multi-axis assembling automation, small CNC auxiliary axes, general peripheral servo for injection molding equipment.
