1. Model Definition & Product Overview

SGDB-3ZADY351 is a factory OEM customized 30kW high-power servo amplifier from Yaskawa Sigma-I series, originally discontinued by Yaskawa; available products are refurbished spare units exclusively for legacy special CNC & automation equipment maintenance.
  • SGDB: Sigma-I first-generation SERVOPACK series designation

  • 3Z: 30kW rated output power, three-phase AC200V high-power specification

  • AD: Dual command input, supporting both pulse-type position command and ±10VDC analog speed/torque reference signal

  • Y: OEM customized hardware layout with modified built-in regenerative circuit and rearranged CN1 I/O pin definition for dedicated original equipment

  • 351: Exclusive customized firmware version, different from Y174 and Y278 in preset factory parameters, I/O logic and regenerative control threshold.

Matching servo motor: SGMG-30A series 30kW, 200V-class servo motor, compatible with incremental (8192P/R) or battery-backed absolute encoder.

  1. Pulse position control: Accept open-collector or line-driver differential pulse including CW/CCW dual-pulse and A/B quadrature pulse; electronic gear ratio adjustable by parameter setting

  2. Analog speed/torque control: Receive ±10VDC external analog reference; loop gain, zero offset default values fixed inside exclusive Y351 factory firmware

  3. MECHATROLINK-I bus hardware pinout reserved on PCB, yet bus communication function locked by Y351 customized firmware and cannot be enabled normally

  • CN1 connector: Integrates pulse command, analog input and digital I/O terminals (Servo ON, fault reset, positioning completion output, dry-contact alarm relay output)

  • CN2: Dedicated encoder interface port for incremental/absolute encoder wiring

  • RS232 serial port: Connect with SigmaWin software for parameter upload/download, real-time running monitoring and historical fault waveform record

4. Complete Protection Functions

Built-in full protection mechanisms: overcurrent, overvoltage, continuous overload, power module overheat, encoder disconnection, regenerative overvoltage and abnormal input power protection. Fault codes displayed via front-panel 7-segment LED; dry-contact alarm output for host machine safety interlock stop control.

  • Standard non-custom SGDB-3ZAD cannot directly replace SGDB-3ZADY351, due to unique Y351 firmware-defined I/O logic, regenerative parameters and loop gain values. Full parameter reset and wiring modification required when substituting with standard drive.

  • Primary application: Heavy-duty customized CNC machine tools, large-load feed axes and exclusive OEM automation production lines (Y174/Y278/Y351/Y352 belong to same 30
