Description
1. Product Overview
SGDB-30AM-P is a customized 3.0kW AC servo amplifier under Yaskawa Sigma-II series platform. Model definition: SGDB stands for Sigma-II servo drive series; 30 refers to rated power of 3.0kW; AM represents MECHATROLINK-I fieldbus dedicated control type without standard pulse or analog command input; suffix P means OEM customized version with exclusive factory preloaded firmware, modified partial I/O assignment and special default parameter settings for specific host equipment. It is matched with corresponding SGME/SGMG series 3.0kW 200V-class Yaskawa servo motors. Original formal mass production has been discontinued, and available products on market are pre-tested refurbished spare parts for maintenance replacement of legacy automated machinery.
2. Electrical Specifications
Main circuit supports single-phase or three-phase AC200~230V input at 50/60Hz; control power is derived internally from main power circuit with no independent auxiliary power supply terminal. Rated continuous output power is 3.0kW, and the drive provides 300% short-time peak overload current to satisfy instantaneous startup and impact load requirements; maximum three-phase output voltage ranges from 0 to AC230V.
3. Control Features
The core control mode is MECHATROLINK-I bus command control, where position, speed and torque instructions are all transmitted from upper motion controller via dedicated fieldbus; no external pulse position input or ±10VDC analog command interface is arranged on CN1 terminal. Standard digital I/O terminals are equipped for servo enable, fault reset, alarm dry-contact output, zero-speed detection and positioning completion signal output. An onboard RS232 communication port is reserved to connect SigmaWin software for parameter editing, real-time running status monitoring and fault waveform capture. The drive is compatible with incremental encoder and battery-backed absolute encoder feedback connection. Benefiting from P customized specification, factory preset parameters and partial terminal signal definition differ from standard SGDB-30AM general model.
4. Built-in Protection Functions
Complete protection functions cover overvoltage, overcurrent, continuous overload, power module overheat, encoder cable disconnection, regenerative overvoltage, abnormal input power and MECHATROLINK communication failure protection. Once abnormal status is triggered, corresponding fault codes will be displayed on front digital LED and external dry-contact alarm signal outputs for interlock control of peripheral equipment.
5. Environmental and Mechanical Requirements
Enclosure protection rating is IP20, which requires installation inside closed electrical cabinet to avoid direct water splash, heavy oil mist and conductive floating dust. Continuous operating ambient temperature ranges from 0℃ to +55℃ with no condensation allowed; storage temperature spans -20℃ to +85℃, and working relative humidity is limited between 10%~90%RH without dew formation on internal circuit components. This power-level drive adopts built-in cooling fan for forced air cooling; installation can be realized via DIN rail or cabinet fixing screws, and the product has passed CE and UL industrial safety certification.
6. Functional & Replacement Instructions
Auto inertia identification and automatic gain tuning functions help optimize servo loop gain efficiently to shorten on-site debugging period; front-panel JOG inching function supports manual forward/reverse motor test without connecting external motion controller. Integrated dynamic brake circuit enables rapid motor stopping under emergency stop or sudden power loss to prevent mechanical inertial overtravel, and onboard nonvolatile memory stores historical fault records for convenient maintenance troubleshooting. Standard SGDB-30AM cannot directly replace this P customized version; full parameter rewriting and I/O function verification are mandatory before substitution. Typical application includes multi-axis synchronous automation production line, customized precision CNC feeding axes and special OEM processing equipment originally configured with this customized servo unit.
